Wagamama - Harrogate
13-15 Parliament Street, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG1 2QU
19-02-2012
We tried Wagamama in York when it is newly opened, although we thought food can pass the good mark, the service was quite patronising.
We said we will give another go in Harrogate and it was disaster. Like earlier somebody commented service was terrible and not really caring. We complained and they did not even realise that we complained I think. Especially the waiter, who seemed walking around like in a daze. The another waiter this time girl, she was patronising too and in your face, it wasn’t very comfortable.
Personally I think if people don’t enjoy their work, they shouldn’t work there…
We ordered ramen noodles and it was very tasteless and watery.
A lot can be done with their “wagamama ramen”. I could only find only 1 prawn, 1 mushroom and about three pieces of chicken meat and some noodles with pea shoots with tasteless watery soup.
It was 8.50, which should really cost 3.99 and the beef dish was 12.35 or something, should really cost 4.50. The noodles were not well cooked and and consistence was not nice to the taste. My husband had “beef chilli ramen” and he didn’t enjoy at all, again tasteless. We left without finishing our meal, because we didn’t enjoy it, AT ALL!!!!
Will not be going there again!!!! I mean to all Wagamama.
TheRightSide These people are stupid and are known to work for Labour. The really cost means they buy this taste regulary. End of story. I go all the time and its great. Get a life. Its Sunday and Im bored. Anyway. Go to Wagamama not to see these people ever again. Bye for now.

Yorkie11 Who ever wrote this who is bored and but has nothing to do other than going to Wagamama, first of all feel sorry for you.
If you are happy, keep going there. You probably have no idea what is good and bad in this cuisine and basic service skills.
We put our opinion on service, food, pricing, atmosphere and again mainly service.
It is not very nice to see a waiter who looks dirty and careless around food or waitress who is on your face.
Thank you very much, we would never want to go there anyway. So I’d say Relax and again Relax!
I advise you to think before you say something, like stupid to people who you never met and if you are willing to leave comment leave a separate comment like normal people. I have no extra time to keep commenting on what people have to say about my comment.
My advice enjoy the life, try not to find yourself bored all the time since you come to this life Only once… and try some other places, not just Wagamama or better learn to cook your own foreign food!!!

Mama Mia - York

Mammamia, yes mamma mia DON’T GO there!!!!
Terrible food and it does really represent microwave cooking (Lasagne).
If people say this place is very good, I think they don’t know what is really italian cooking means…
brrrrrrhhhhhaaaaaa
If you are ever in York, please don’t go there, or if you do and you are so hungry don’t order foods with seafood, believe me they are all frozen ones, not fresh……
Also, house wine is a bit dodgy. I presume some part of it is water. Make sure they bring the bottle not the carafe, otherwise most definitely water wine mix in it…
They also give bread with butter, very unusual for an italian cuisine. I mean olive oil would work better surely ….
BTW, bread sticks are out of “TESCO” box, you could see it on the counter. They didn’t even manage to put it away. They had also on display some SACLA pesto jars, oh my god somebody was given at some stage with some shop bought pasta with it….
If you speak italian loud, that is not enough to run the place, you will have to be able to cook a proper italian food too….
My husband and myself won’t be going there ever again and we suggest to everybody who reads this review and this an honest review…
Just get the cooking book and anybody can do far better than they can.
Shame on you Mamma mia on 20 Gillygate!!!…. Yes surely Mamma mia in opposite way ……
