Topshop - Warrington
Old Market Place, Warrington, Cheshire WA1 1QB
30-04-2009
I agree with what the reviewer says above: great shop and way better than the old one! The only problem with it is that the Topshop downstairs is really big and well stocked whilst the poor men get fobbed off with a tiny Topman upstairs that has very little stock at all. Definitely not an improvement on the last one. This doesn’t bother me too much but it does bother my boyfriend!
L & J Whittaker - Widnes

I used to get all my school shoes from here when I was younger! It was always a tradition to go to Whittakers and try on the shoes and the nice sales assistant would always ask if I wanted them in the box or to wear them now and I always wanted to wear them now! Sadly over recent years due to competition, Whittakers has started selling a different range of shoes that aren’t as upmarket as they used to be. It’s still a nice family business that should be supported by locals, but sadly doesn’t have the same range that it used to. Infact, I don’t think it does any children’s shoes anymore.
The Tavern - Widnes
288 Upton Lane, Widnes, Cheshire WA8 9AF

The review used to be another popular pub in Widnes, but it recently had a refurbishment to make itself seem 'posher’ and it lost a few of it’s regular clients. It served a wide range of food now and it is very delicious. A nice place to go for Lunch, but it doesn’t have that 'pub’ atmosphere anymore. It’s almost trying to be a gastropub yet failing slightly.
The Albion - Widnes
1 Liverpool Road, Widnes, Cheshire WA8 7ER

I haven’t been in The Albion in years, it used to be a really good pub and lots of students would go on a Thursday night. However, it has had more managers in the past few years than I’ve had hot dinners and I don’t think it’s as popular now or as nice. It’s a typical local pub with no frills about it, good if you want a quick pint I suppose. Has a very good car park and a good sized beer garden.
keithdiscos the albion on liverpool rd widnes it's not a bad pub its got disco & karaoke on a saturday nice friendly pub

Bar La Go - Liverpool
18 Colquitt Street, Liverpool, Merseyside L1 4DE

LaGo is a nice small bar but sometimes that can be a bit too small! Everytime I go there I end up with drinks all over me and toes trodden on hehe. Good atmosphere overall though.
Buffet Star - Liverpool
85-87 Hanover Street, Liverpool, Merseyside L1 3DZ

Buffet star is the best chinese buffet in Liverpool I think! The restaurant area is clean and modernised and it has quite a nice atmosphere. The food is nice, but as someone above said, not so good for vegetarians. I don’t go that often because one of my friend’s is a veggie and prefers others, but for meat eating parties it’s good!
Tso's Restaurant - Liverpool
St. Johns Lane, Liverpool, Merseyside L1 1HF

Not my favourite chinese buffet in Liverpool…but it is probably one of the cheapest. It looks a bit scruffy to be honest, but the food is decent.
Jim Garrahy's Fudge Kitchen - York
58 Low Petergate, York, North Yorkshire YO1 7HZ

Ooey gooey delicious fudge. I have never seen fudge like this before! They make it in a big long roll and then chop up big round slices for you. It can be a bit pricy..but worth it for a treat now and again.
The Milkshack - York

Yum yum yum, delicious milkshakes! I had a lovely peanut butter and chocolate one, but you can get wackier ones such as haribo!
Cambo Estate Gardens - St. Andrews
Kingsbarns, St. Andrews, Scotland KY16 8QD

I have stayed at Cambo about 5 times now with my friend, it is such a beautiful place. We stay in the apartments that you can rent - they are very spacious and nicely decorated. You get to live in a mansion for a week! The surrounding area is so beautiful. You can stroll through the forest down to the beach, have a game of golf, look around the beautiful gardens that Mrs Erskine tends to, visit the pigs or explore the surrounding area such as St. Andrews, Pittenweem or Anstruther.
