Raj Pavillions - Horfield

14 Filton Road, Bristol BS7 0PA

15-11-2008

The staff in here are quite banterous. The food was of an ok standard and reasonably priced. Particularly good after a few beverages in the gloucester arms. The samosas are really good. As is the tandoori chicken. If you live this end of glos rd worth a visit.

The Orpheus - Henleaze

Northumbria Drive, Henleaze, Bristol BS9 4HL

I love this cosy cinema. It is very cheap and the staff are always very friendly. I like that it shows some of the more obscure films. You may have to wait a little longer to watch the blcokbusters but it makes cinema going more affordable. I like that I am supporting a local indepenant cinema too.

Showcase Cinema de Lux - Bristol

Cabot Circus, Bristol BS1 2BD

15-11-2008

A real treat in the world of cinema viewing. I enjoyed the food. The directors lounge was great the seats were very comfortable and roomy. Shame it costs so much to park there compared to the likes of vue. I think it is an experience worth recommending.

Vue Cinemas - Bristol

The Venue Merlin Road, Bristol BS10 7SR

15-11-2008

Extremely expensive especially if you also buy snacks and ice cream. I don’t think vue is very good value although you know it will be showing all the blockbusters regularly so easy to get a seat. Also handy as it is at cribbs with the wide range of restaurants right there.

Asda Superstores - Patchway

Highwood Lane, Bristol BS34 5TL

15-11-2008

I think Asda is the most all round reasonable supermarket. This one is a good size with everything you could wish for under one roof. I buy a lot of my work wear from george as it is cheap and it doesn’t matter if it gets trashed. Never let me down.

Waitrose - Westbury Park

51 Northumbria Drive, Westbury Park, Bristol BS9 4HN

Lovely food. I particularly like the bakery counter! The deli counter is also second to none. You know you are always getting good quality produce, I just wish I could afford to shop there more often. It is definatley the price that puts me off this store.

Somerfield Stores - Bristol

Canford Lane, Bristol BS9 3DF

15-11-2008

Staff can be really slow. Petrol always a little more expensive than just down the road at shell. Reasonable range of produce for a petrol station including some fresh fruit and veg and bakery products. Handy as it is open till 11.00pm

Gourmet Burger Kitchen - Bristol

74 Park Street, Bristol BS1 5JX

15-11-2008

Love the vast assortment of burgers you can get. Although it is more expensive than a lot of burger bars I think it is well worth it as it is in a class of its own. Also does really good chips. Also like how you can have an extra side salad instead of the bun if you prefer something a bit lighter.

T.G.I Fridays - Bristol

The Mall, The Venue Lysander Road Cribbs Causeway , Bristol BS10 7UB

15-11-2008

Not my favourite restaurant at cribbs but good for a change sometimes. Enjoy the bourbon chicken. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Would say it is slightly over priced for what you get. Can get really busy too so a bit of a wait for tables.

the Downs - Bristol, City of

Bristol, City of BS1 2BD

One of my favourite places to go for runs. Lots of people doing the same thing so it kinda spurs me on. Good place to chill with a book on a sunny day and have a picnic. Enjoy getting an ice cream and looking out over the suspension bridge. Nice to still have some open green space in our citys.
