There are some lovely walking trails around this area which are great to do with the family. There are lots of different walks for people of all ages and abilities so the whole family can enjoy a day in the great outdoors. The visitor centre is a good place to finish the walk. It has lots of information about the local wildlife and all the conservation work that the team does in the local area. There is also a nice little cafe if you fancy a hard earned drink and biscuit after your walk.

The central pier in blackpool is a great place to spend a few hours. you have to go on the big ferris wheel to get an amazing view or the surroundings and out to sea. treat yourself and the kids to an ice cream or two or even a hot dog an hot onions.
the dodgem cars are also great fun to play on but are quite expensive to go on especially if there is a few of you in a family.

Wilkinsons is a very large store which sells a bit of everything really like homewares, bathroom products, kids toys, pet food and beds and toys for them, sweets and chocolates.. and much more. They change the stock a lot like the pound shop so you often dont know what you are going to find when you get there but there are always going to be bargains whenever you go.

The last time we visited here was about two or three years ago when the family and i wanted a fun day out. we had a great time and the weather was really nice too and that was in march!
the price of a day ticket to get on all the rides is not bad at all but the queues can be quite long on the most popular rides like the big rollercoaster. we found the place a little untidy as it could have done with a few litter pickers about but apart from that it was great and well worth the price.

Matalan is one of those stores that sells a huge range of clothing for both men women and children. they are very good prices that can only be beaten by stores like primark. I have been to the sales at this branch of Matalan before and although it can get very busy, you really can get some amazing bargains especially in the 'bargain buckets’.
