I’m torn on the review of this one – as the first time I visited I had a fantastic time eating the Raclette heated by the wood fire… I went with a group & had no idea where I was :-) so it took me a while to find it again.

The second visit I made was with another group – but this time we had Tartiflette – which certainly wasn’t the best tartiflette I’ve had in the alps, and in fact was a little disapointing, although there was plenty of it.

So I’m giving this review the benefit of the doubt until I can revisit and try the Raclette again. Can’t wait!

Superb ambience as the last chap reviewed – and the food was good, with a really simple snowshoe hike up from Autrans.

A truly modern cinema, written good screens, sound, a bar, and really comfy seats. Loads of restaurants just outside the door for pre or post film dining. No hesitations on giving this one a good review.

Awesome burgers, and even better chips. In fact, I’d say the chips were the quality of the best chip shop chips I’d ever had. The Jimmy’s burger was both tasty and a great consistency. One of our party thought his burger was too cold, so sent it back to the kitchen. The waiter returned with a fresh one, piping hot, and a voucher for a free burger on our next visit. Great customer service, with no fuss.

Not a bad pizza/italian restaurant close to the Shannon pub. The staff were friendly, and happy to customize the pizzas with extra toppings. Prices were reasonable as well. Not one I’d cross town for, but good enough in you are in the area.

Caffe Forte is a great bistro style restaurant in a 17th century hotel building in Grenoble, just across from the Museum. Food is reasonably priced, and the quality is ok, but not great. I was considering dropping my review to 3 star after a recent visit, but on balance it isn’t that bad.

My favorite is the beef burger, but there are many other more traditional and the occasional fusion style choices along with the usual French fare.

Casual atmosphere, great for friends or groups.

They’ve also got a space out the back which I think you can book during the summer for groups.

Not up to jd weatherspoons usual food quality. They are either cutting costs, or time. Burger was no better than you would get a the golden arches.

Good selection of beers though.
