Great coffee, small but comfortable, and very friendly staff. Free wifi at the Village Hotel lobby as well. Slightly more expensive than a regular Starbucks though and they don’t take the Starbucks card.

My boiler failed over a weekend recently and I needed to have it looked at (and eventually, a replacement fitted) in a hurry. These guys were the only ones to respond to a weekend request for a call-out. We talked openly and honestly about the options and I decided on a replacement - and Niel and his team were superb at responding, came out at short-notice and did what I felt was a very professional job at recommending and fitting a replacement appliance.

Timely, professional and dedicated, great at communicating and putting things into plain English for me. Very impressed. They are specialists in Worcester Borsch so I now have one of those, but I felt that Niel was providing solid advice based on his experience. Fully guaranteed too, so I feel very happy with the choice.

Small, efficient (especially if you're arriving for the first flight of the day!). Free wifi is a bonus. The cafe is way overpriced though. I found the staff very good-natured and friendly.

Kitchen Italia (Shepherds Bush, London, by andypiper)

5 Points out of 5

Really lovely place. We visited Westfield for the first time today and after wandering along the selection of restaurants on the southern terrace, decided on Kitchen Italia. The layout is reminiscent of Wagamama - long bench tables (complete with the handy bag hooks underneath). The service was pretty speedy, and the food was excellent. The waitress explained that since everything was prepared fresh, dishes might arrive at different times - that was just fine with us. I had the sea bass and rocket pasta with a side of poached prawns - very nice, light but just filling enough for a lunch stop during a shopping trip. I thought the price was pretty decent as well. I was surprised to find that this is currently the only Kitchen Italia - hope they are able to branch out soon!

I went to a great gig here a couple of days ago. It's a beautiful church, and a lovely venue for live music. Easy to find too - right behind Tottenham Court Road Tube station and Centre Point.

Briefly stopped in here for a colleague’s leaving drinks. It’s an interesting multi-level layout… couldn’t see the group I was meeting from the outside but once I’d walked inside I was able to see them on the next level. Pleasant enough surroundings although it seemed that they only had one continental beer on tap, the rest all bottled. Once the place filled up the noise of the trains going over the bridge overhead was no distraction at all.

Cannot comment on the food but the place looked pretty nice - may well stop in to sample it in the future.

Handy location right between the South Bank and Waterloo station :-)

A superb bistro right on Ascot High Street, set back on a parade with plenty of parking right outside. Wonderful atmosphere and attentive, pleasant service. The menu is mouth-watering, but be sure to ask for the specials… I had an amazing lobster spaghetti (served in the lobster shell!). Will definitely be going back.

Nice shopping centre with a great selection of shops - on a par with Guildford city centre really, indoors, but smaller. The area outside has a good range of restaurants plus a Vue cinema. It is also right next to the railway station so easy to get to even if you are not driving.

A bagel shop near Liverpool Street station and Finsbury Circus - nice food and often quite busy. Limited seating inside the window with bar stools, so plan to take-away.
