glasgow international airport (baa) - Glasgow
Paisley, Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Scotland PA3 2SW
31-12-2010
It's a good sized airport. Not bad for duty free items and food choices. Lots of seating areas and information desks were very helpful. One thing not readily available is the currency exchange desks near the terminals. So you better get it before you head to the terminals. But not a big issue. I got my exchange when I got to New York. The airport is clean and people were helpful. The signs are clear and everything went smoothly.

Spent the night before flying out of GLA. The room is clean and linens were smelling fresh. The front desk was friendly but not helpful. It's walking distance to the airport. Food was ok. Value for money is ok, too. Overall, it is a decent hotel. Just wish the front desk were a bit more helpful.
National Museums of Scotland - Edinburgh
Chambers Street, Edinburgh, Scotland EH1 1JF

The best part of going to the museum is that it is free! I've been here numerous times and I have always enjoyed going around and reading the same bits that I have read before over and over again. As it is a rainy day today, I thought I would spend it indoors in the museum and it still amazes me that all what is in it has centuries of history and how they have survived all the good and the bad that happened in this world from when they were stored. You can take a break in their small cafe and continue your historical journey. I could never have enough of them. Though it is queer, I always try to paint a picture as to how everything was before. It is definitely worth spending your day in.
KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) - Edinburgh
134 Leith Walk, Edinburgh, Scotland EH6 5DT
22-11-2010
Dropped by this KFC for a quick bite yesterday. Though there were lots of people waiting for their orders, mine came out within 5mins which is good coz it was getting warm with all the people waiting for their orders. We were offered water as we wait for our orders which was very kind of them. Though the place is small, it is clean. The counter is free from the typical mess that you would find in a fastfood countertop. The staff were all friendly and smiling.
London City airport - London
Royal Docks, London E16 2PB

My first time landing in this airport. It was a nice experience. The airport is not too big and overwhelming but do have lots of passengers flying to and from it. Lots of signs to lead to you to wherever you want to go. There are duty free shops and restaurants. So you get lots of choices, too. Taxi stands are just a few feet away from the entrance. There were lots of check-in stations so no long queues. There was sort of a small construction going on but it wasn't a big bother. Going through security was not at all bad as all teh stations were opened. I breezed right through.
air france - Edinburgh
Edinburgh, Scotland EH12 9DN

Flew down to London for the day and took Air France to LCY. I have never flown with them before so I didn't really expect much for an airline. However, I was surprised as to how clean and had a nice fresh smell it had. They had breakfast served in nice little trays and though the fork and knives were plastic, it was not the cheap kind. The breakfast was good. One my way back, it was a smaller plane and they also served lunch in lunch boxes. Also good. So far, my experience was not bad.
Calistoga - Edinburgh

Had dinner here last night with work colleagues and we were VERY, VERY IMPRESSED!!! Service was impeccable! Food was great! Venue was fabulous. From starters to desserts, we were amazed at the quality of food we had. We had a great time and went home with happy stomachs... There is an area where they have the wine tasting below and upstairs. Can be reserved for private parties as well. Highly recommended! We got to sign the comments book which we passed around to put our comments in and everyone had only good things to say. Thanks for a fab evening, guys!

Had dinner here yesterday after a long and exhausting meeting in the boardroom. The food is quite good. It just took a bit of time for the food to get to us but we had some dimsum to start and it was very nice. The place had a nice setting. Lucky if you get seated by the big windows then you can see out. It was buzzing with people, too, mostly hotel guests, but we had enough space apart so it didn't really bother us. There is variety in the menu. All do sound really delicious but I can only take as much... The staff is very friendly and courteous. I would go back.

After getting 50% of the christmas shopping done, we thought of getting a relaxing dinner here. And we got what we wanted. The place upstairs has a calm ambiance and very charming. Downstairs is the coffee place. Wait staff were very friendly and polite thoughout the evening. It's myt 3rd time here and the food is still magnifico! The chocolate desert ended our meal just right. Will definitely keep returning.

I had a blast buying quality ski jackets and boots for our family's winter activities this year! Aside from the already discounted tags, a further discount was added at the counter. They have all kinds of winter gear, camping gear and other sports gear. The staff helping us was very polite and provided advise as to what works and not and as I bought all these bulky jackets, he made sure that I was comfy in carrying all of them. Can't wait to try them on and see the rest of my family's reaction when I got them the bargains! Looking forward to the winter!
