i love Accessorize anyway and this one in Basingstoke is fab! all their items are gorgeous!!! This particular store is a far size and has a great selection of jewellery, bags and other accessories on offer. I have to admit, i wish they’d have more sales than they do… but when the store does have a sale on, good luck getting to any of the sale items… it’s always packed! Everything is well-priced in Accessorize and i love the fact that all the items are group according to their colours. Most items can be matched up with other matching items and their kiddies section is also great… for those little princesses in the making! The staff are really eager to help you in this branch!

Basingstoke doesn’t have much to offer in terms of department stores… but Debenhams is their main one. Its full of lots of different concessions and offers a good choice of clothing brands. This Debenhams is quite small, set over two floors. It has a few beauty counters with some annoying people who stand by the door trying to sell you something every time you pass by! Debenhams has regular blue cross sales and this store seems to always have a sale on. Overall, this department store isn’t great (give me House of Fraser any day) but hey – it’s definitely better than nothing!!

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee Shake-away! its seems to be expanding rapidly with new Shake Away stores popping up everywhere! Their milk shakes are lovely and thick and are very very filling. The assortment of flavours is incredible and you do wonder how they come up with half of these flavours. Shake Away is so unique as well, there’s no other stores (i know of) in Basingstoke that do the same variety of shakes… or shakes in general actually! Prices are too expensive, so if you don’t mind all the calories, then you’ll the milk shakes here. One of my favourites is Curly Wurly… but there are some very unappealing flavours too!

this Boots is actually pretty good. It’s a fair size and offers a vast range of products. It has a handy pharmacy and photo developing section. They offer some really great deals and it has quite a big christmas shop during that festive season! they often have quite a lot of staff on the tills so you’re never left waiting for long when purchasing your items. I like the fact that boots are also doing promotional offers whereby they’ll give you vouchers if you spend over a certain amount… which is an added bonus… however, if you’re looking for cheap deals – then you’re best off heading to Superdrug.

This Papa John’s is one of the many pizza take-away places in Sandhurst. Their pizzas are really yummy and are slightly better prices than the likes of Pizza Hut or Dominos. They have some great mid-week offers and their website is also very handy for ordering online in advance. The staff are helpful and i find the pizzas always arrive quite promptly – definitely before the specified delivery time. Papa John’s is a massive chain in America, but for some reason doesn’t seem quite as popular in the UK… If you’ve not tried them before, this one is worth giving a go.

I’m always a fan of Reed, no matter where I’ve lived over the previous years, Reed always comes up top for their customer service and this Basingstoke branch is the perfect example! a gentleman who works in the permanent side is simply brilliant. he goes out of his way to help you, as do the other staff, but this particular member really excelled in helping my partner find a job after graduating uni, despite his lack of experience and the market conditions. Reed was the only recruitment agency to take the time out and give him a decent job which wasn’t just telesales!!

Located in the mall, this Oasis store is great. the staff are always extremely helpful and the clothes are always great. Much more choice then a department store!! Oasis always has great sales also. If find their clothes very trendy and their jewellery is gorgeous. They do some great office wear and lovely day wear. Their website supports the stores in terms of clothes they have on offer. I’d put Oasis on a par with Warehouse! The clothes are lovely colour and are extremely long-lasting, most of my oasis stuff I’ve had for many years and show no sign of deterioration!

This place is great! The service I receive is excellent. Its handy location in the mall means it is convenient. It’s open late a couple nights a week so it’s perfect for those who work in Basingstoke. Every time I’ve been you can pick up free samples from the front desk. I love the fact that you can book your hair appointment online! They always send you a text the day before your appointment so you won’t forget - I’m very very impressed with their service!!! The prices for the haircuts are also very reasonable, and as with most hairdressers, you determine which level stylist you want … thus determining how much you want to spend

I love TK Maxx - this one is great! It always has excellent choice and I tend to pop in there a few times a week and there’s always, always new stock! TK Maxx is great if you’re on a budget, you can buy great gift for friends and family at a fraction of the price! always recommended and if you haven’t tried before you must visit… there’s many well-known brand names and TK Maxx generally sells last season’s stock at great prices. The sell more than just clothes too, they sell toys, shoes, luggage, bags, furniture, electrical, perfumes… it’s basically a one stop shop!!

I’ve used this gym for about 10 years now. Although it’s fairly small in size, but i love this place! It never gets too busy and you always get on the equipment without having to wait. It has a very friendly atmosphere and some of the machines this gym has are unique compared to other gyms. as its not part of a chain, the prices are very cheap whether you’re a member or ‘pay and play’. You’re also able to use the squash courts and swimming pool through this gym and they have control of the dance studio too where they host many of the classes.
