The Star and Garter Public House - Bromley
227 High Street, Bromley, London BR1 1NZ
05-04-2012
Love this place. I did a pole dancing course upstairs a few years ago.
But I love the fact it’s so chilled out and everyone is so friendly and chatty. The drinks are pretty standard but the theme nights are brill.
I saw my my friend and drag act Son of a Tutu here – fantastic!
Adventure Kingdom - Bromley
Stockwell Close, (next to Bromley Civic Centre), London BR1 3UH

Took my nephews here, and from an adult perspective, yes it’s a little scruffy around the edges, but from a child’s perspective it’s great fun!
It’s over three levels and it means that they kids can run around freely and have some adventures. I would get there early, before it gets busy so they have the most freedom.
quasar - Bromley
94 Bromley Hill, London BR1 4JU

I love Quasar, I’ve been here so many times over the years and really love it.
They really build up the experience and tension and the venue is really large and full of hiding places. I obviously have my secret spot which means that I get Top Gun….I’m not sharing that.
It’s perfect for birthday parties – at whatever age!
swan and mitre - Bromley
260-262 High Street, London BR1 1PG

One of my fav. pubs in Bromley, it’s more alternative than the most and they have some good live nights and a nice garden area.
The most chilled out of the rest of the pubs – so I would recommend this if you’re after a good night.
primark - Bromley
London BR1 1LB
05-04-2012
Primark is Primark really – but this one is huge – over three floors (and old Alders) and they stock is great.
You used to have to queue for hours for the changing rooms, but it’s not that bad now.
Still long queues, but hey – it is Primark.
Churchill Theatre - Bromley
High Street, London BR1 1HA
05-04-2012
I used to come here years ago with my mum, they have a lot of pre-west end shows which are great.
I don’t think I have ever seen a bad show here, even the amateur productions are great.
The building itself is slightly unusual, built on a hill, so even when you go down you can still see windows, which is nice. And you can pre-order interval drinks, which is nice.
Red Boutique - Beckenham
280 high street, London BR3 1DY
05-04-2012
Such a great little boutique, full of charm and character. Plus the clothes are lovely and great quality.
It’s also a great little spot to pick up a few pressies and home accessories…My bf knows that if I pop in there, I always come out with a ’little something for the flat".
Plus the staff are great and really friendly.
The jolly Woodman - Beckenham
Chancery Lane, Shortlands, London BR3 6NR
05-04-2012
A proper english pub – not a gastro pub, very small, and full of local character.
We popped in here to a quick drink to shelter from the rain and ended up spending a few hours here chatting the locals and enjoying a great selection of beer.
Villager's Sausages - Beckenham
91 The High Street, London BR3 1AG
05-04-2012
If you’re looking for that something special then this is the place – you’re paying a little extra but you know it’s handmade quality.
Plus the service id very friendly, we explained what we were trying to make and the butcher suggested his recommendations and also the best way to cook them – first class.
Shakespeare's Globe - Southwark
21 New Globe Walk, Southwark, London SE1 9DT
05-04-2012
Make sure you try to pick a day when it doesn’t rain – we were lucky as it didn’t, but I can imagine that it could be a soggy affair if it was.
But the fact that there’s such a monument of history which is so welcoming and actively used is a real testament.
The plays themselves are fantastic interpretations – great if you’ve got any school-aged children.
A tip – if you’re standing up – get there early and lean against the back of the theatre, as after a few hours, you’ll need it.
