Tudor barn - Eltham
Well Hall Pleasaunce Well Hall Road, Eltham, London SE9 6SZ
01-11-2008
The tudor barn used to be a pub. It has now been changed into a tea room- sounds a bit poncy!. from my point of view this was a bad idea- the pub was ok, but turning it into a tea room was a bad idea. ok, its still a nice place to visit, but thats about it. i won’t go there, not now they have changed from the old pub
wetherspoons, the wrong un - Bexley
234–236 The Broadway, Bexleyheath, London DA6 8AS
01-11-2008
the wrong un isn’t bad, although it could do with modernising a little. that said, they do some good ales and bitters, the staff are friendly and the food is good quality. it is quite a large pub- the outside give the impression of something small, not so!. price wise- it is a wetherspon, so expect tose sort of prices. not bad though
Greggs - Eltham
166 Eltham High Street, Eltham, London SE9 1BJ
01-11-2008
Greggs have always, in my mind been the best bakeries. they are always fresh and tasty, and the prices have always been kept to a minimum. i quite like the interiors as well. not tacky, and not too modern
McDonalds - Southall
London UB1 2BD
01-11-2008
frankly i cannot stand macdonalds as a whole- very chep and tacky. Even with the recent refits, they just look worse!
One - Lewisham
1 Lee High Road, Lewisham, London SE13 5LD
01-11-2008
not another bar! this is frankly, just terrible!. as you walk inside you notice one thing- the decore. i find it just too modern with no character. the drinks aren’t ver exciting either- no ales or bitters. I still am not sure if this is supposed to be a sprts bar or not- if you know then please feel free to tell me. Thats if you manage to stay in there long enough (i couldn’t!)
The one bar- certainly one to avoid!
TK Maxx - Lewisham
150-154 Lewisham High Street, Lewisham, London SE13 6JL
01-11-2008
quite ffrankly i find tk maxx too expensive, and the clothes are always on the floor. this place could easily be the worst i have ever come across- having gone once, that was enough, i didn’t even buy anything (eventually bought my items from the market!) whats more the market is cheaper
Blackheath Common - Blackheath
Blackheath, London SE3 0TY
01-11-2008
ok, you might think me a little made for reviewing a bit of grass, but what the hey!. Blackheath common is actually a great place to go- in the summer and in the winter. for example you have the funfiar and circus during the summer, and the fireworks in the winter (extremely popular!). what with quite a few pubs near by, you can sit outside with a pint on a summers day and chill out, as well as play sports, fly kites etc. Also look out for the donkeys- yes, they are still going strong! (by the front gates of greenwich park). by night the common changes, to a quiet haven. Watch it though- it can be a bit dark at times, and also gets very cold during the winter months, so wrap up warm
Greenwich Park Bar & Grill - Greenwich
1 King William Walk, Greenwich, London SE10 9JH
01-11-2008
i have to agree with you on this one! the drinks are just too expensive!. Yes, this may be greenwich, NO i will not pay over three pounds for a pint of euro fizz!. as for the decor, its just plain awful. avoid like the devil himself!
Greenwich Picturehouse - Greenwich
180 Greenwich High Road, Greenwich, London SE10 8NN
01-11-2008
i’ve been going to this cinema since i was knee high- unfortunately it closed down due to lack of funds, but i was happy to see that the cineam has re-opened. What a difference they have made- new seats, a new foyer, and it now has a bar tucked away upstairs. the seating is very comfortable- even for a fidget like me!. i would recommend you go here, the kids will love it!
The Cutty Sark - London
Cutty Sark Gardens, London SE10 9HT
30-10-2008
Having been on board the gret tea clipper, i have to say it is very impressive (although this review was made during the time of the fire on the cutty sark). i rember me and my father always going on a weekend. very small inside, but fun all the same!
