Easily the best restaurant in Greenwich although that title does not appear to be as sort after as you might imagine.  Food is modern european and having eaten there at least a dozen times I'm struggling to think of a single dish that was below par, while many have been excellent.  Prices are somewhat high and portions comparative modest in size given this is a local restaurant but it still represents good value particularly when compared to what you'd expect to pay for food of the same quality in central London.  Fixed price lunch menu is very keenly priced and while the ingredients might be comparatively simpler there is nothing lacking in the cooking. Definitely recommended as a treat although if you want a slap up meal you might want to go elsewhere.

Outstanding Vietnamese food where you least expect it.  Fresh spring rolls were exploding with flavour and   deep fried vegetables also irresistibly moreish. My main was a wonderfully spicy chlli beef dish.  Didn't see much of my wife's chicken dish as it went straight down her neck!  Not particularly cheap especially given this is rural Yorkshire but they do a good value two-course lunch deal and, in any case, it's worth every penny!

Nice old fashioned boozer with friendly, helpful staff and good beer.

Fantastic Iranian food at very reasonable prices. Kebabs tender and tasty. Rice wonderfully light and fluffy. Stews rich with spices, fruit and nuts. Service friendly but a little slow and wine list very short.

Very decent microbrewery beer and the pizza is fine too so long as you don’t make the mistake of expecting or hoping for anything remotely authentically Italian.

Really wanted this to be a great local bike shop but that hasn’t been my experience. Wheel they built caused me constant problems. Service helpful but not always very efficient – eg lack of clarity about when work will be done and no calls to confirm. Final straw was returning a wheel without the spindle – I picked them up on it and guy tried to say it was okay!

Good pide, meze and, yes, even kebabs. Friendly and accommodating when we had lunch there with our toddler which is a tough test of anyone’s patience!

Trains to London Bridge are frequent and fast. Lack of pram and wheelchair access a major concern.

Really good takeaways. Mint and corriander dish really had the taste of fresh herbs. Lamb very tender. Several cuts above your bog-standard indian. Dishes were on the smallish side but still very good value for the quality.

Lovely old building in a good location near my place so why isn't it my local - particularly given the lack of other options in the area? Big St George's flag (badly torn) over the door isn't exactly saying 'friendly' to me. Sky TV screens everywhere and an ugly interior isn't saying 'nice place for a quiet pint'. Food seems to all be deep fried or microwaved so not a place I'd choose to eat. Lots of local reports of poor or downright surly service, with some other patrons apparently not much more welcoming. I hear the landlords changed again but won't holding my breath.
