    Harrow & Wealdstone Station

1pxt boobybooba last updated on 28-11-2008:

This station has fast trains into London Euston (about 15 minutes) so is vey popular and useful for commuters. It also has Bakerloo line trains and trains to Watford and beyond.
Thus it is quite a large station. It is baby and disabled person friendly as it has lifts. It also has a car park.

    St. Ann's Shopping Centre

1pxt boobybooba last updated on 28-11-2008:

St Anns shopping centre is not as nice visually as St George’s in my opinion, although it does have a wider range of clothes shops. these included a reasonably sized Primark, BHS, River Island and Top Shop (quite a small one). there is also a Clarks shoe shop, a W H Smith, HMV, goldsmiths jewellers, Ann Summers and a Dixons. The car park is also bigger than St George’s and there is a large food court on the top floor with a big variety of places to eat, but all fast food.

Not the biggest Dorothy Perkins store there is, and quite crowded and cramped inside - you have to negotiate your way around the other people a lot and forget about bringing a buggy in - it’s too much hassle!
Considering this though, there is still a good range of clothes (probably becasue they are crammed in?) and it is laid out pretty well too. You can get some good bargains especially on jewellery. Shoes also tend to be quite cheap and clothes good quality and well priced generally.

Not a very big supermarket but still useful if you do not wish to buy your weekly shop yet want more than your would find in a Tesco Express shop. This also has a car park so is convenient.

Located next to a large Staples and in the same complex as Waitrose, there is 3 hours free parking here.
This store has 2 floors - bedding and bathroom items on the ground floor and on the upper floor lots of home accessories including prints, mirrors and kitchen gadgets. Very good value generally and you can get some excellent bargains. The pictures are cheap for their quality and for candles, nick nacks and so on it is definitely worth checking out.

Apparently Marmaris is one of the top destinations for UK tourists. Located in south west Turkey, not only does it have beautiful scenery, and marvellous views from the mountains if you take the time to move away frmo the typically tourist areas, but as a sailing town it has excellent boat trips which I would highly recommend - spending a day on a boat in temperatures that reach into their 40s exploring some of the surrounding islands in Turkey.
There are tons of clubs for dancing the night away, aswell as bars, karaoke and caberet nights. THere are plenty of restaurants although many of them are trying to cater to the UK person - try the ones the locals go to instead, located away from the beach side.

Excellent park! Opposite Watford Metropolitan line tube station, so very accessible. Beautiful for walking around, has a few children’s play areas. IN the summer there is also a miniature steam railway with rides for less than a pound. In the same area there is also a paddling pool area which is very popular and also free. Toilets are available too but they seem to be closed in the Winter as I found out the other day.
We also went to a fireworks display there for Bonfire night which was free and well organised with rides and attractions, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This is such a good toy shop! A wide selection of different toys, much better than all-branded toy shops. Some excellent deals on certain items if you keep your eyes open.
Have always found the staff extremely helpful.

Sadly the Astoria is due to be demolished but if you get a chance to go there for a live gig it is an amazing atmosphere esp for rock gigs -and very intimate so if you manage to get near the front you get a fabulous view and the people seated get a good view too.
Quite dingy and dark but that’s part of it’s appeal - the drinks are as to be expected quite expensive.

    Hatfield House

1pxt boobybooba last updated on 28-11-2008:

Hatfield House is positioned opposite Hatfield train station, so is ideal for visitors arriving by train and is equally accessible by car and is well signed.
We got maried at Hatfield House in October 2007 and would thoroughly recommend it as a venue and the staff were extremely helpful and professional in all the preparations. We actually got married in the Old Palace which is part of the house, but next to the actual House and is was one of the childhood homes of Queen Elizabeth I. It is a stunning hall with amazing tapestries on the walls and there are banquets held every friday with a disco which are supposed to be amazing too - we saw the end of one when we went to look around and it looked great fun!
The Old palace is also situated in the Maze Garden which is truly beautiful and worth a look at too.
When visiting the actual house there is a shop and cafe / restaurant. They also do many events such as shows throughout the year.
