In a nondescript road of a hundred charity shops (well, about five) leading from Portslade station to the sea on the western edge of Brighton and Hove there’s a small, unpretentious Italian restaurant. The meals are generous and the price’s reasonable and the staff - all Italian I think - welcoming. It’s a reliable place. You know you won’t be ripped off and you know that everyone - no matter how fussy - will find something on the menu to enjoy.

bwhelan Good question….reasonable (for me) I guess is two decent courses that don’t leave you feeling hungry and a modest glass of house red for under £20 -£25 per head. This is a place to go out to, rather than grab a bite on a wet Wednesday after work…tend to go for family celebrations - birthdays etc - because it is a safe bet that everyone will find someting to eat on the menu (and we have some picky eaters in my family).
