la Lactuca - Eixample
Calle ProvenÇa 427, 08025 Barcelona

I wanted food … all food I can eat ;)
So this is a place! Right beside the Sagardes Famlia.
For 10euro you can eat as much as you want of the buffet, a variety of salad, some pasta/lasagna, hamburger, pizza and all you can drink (even beer some said, but wine is not included)!
Unfortunately we found the food rather tasteless, but not bad.
For this price its really cheap, expecialy because they have a great epresso/machato/latte-machine (if you find the right button to press) and with ice-cream and cake I was satisfied!
Some people say Lactuca is taking after Fres Co with was first of this kind.

My wife found this restaurant recommended by a local guide for Japanese. And since its famous for its Paella we had to try it!
The place has 2 floors and we went up ;) Had to wait 20 minutes for or 2 person fish-paella, but that we have been told when we ordered.
Meanwhile we drunk some of the houses white wine
and than the paella came. Help, with full size scrimps (how to eat them without making a mess?). Taste was fine, but somehow not as good as we expected.
This is a fine restaurant near the La Ramba (but a little hard to find if you don`t know where). Friendly stuff.

We got recommended this restaurant by a friend so we walked here a saturday evening right after 18:00 - no que to wait ;)
We ordered a selection off tapas + fried cuttlefish and the waiter ask if we would like some tomato-bread with we said yes too!
Well, the food looked little and strange, but the taste was delicious!!! I really can recommend it! The tomato-bread was fresh taste and the tapas was really great and fresh taste!
They waiter was kind and funny.
This surely was the best restaurant visit on out 4 day trip!
oyisi - Sant Andreu
Cl Felip Ii 42, 08027 Barcelona

While exploring around Sagrada Familia we discoverd this place on a sunday and it was full.
OYISI = japanese and means TASTES GOOD / DELICUS even a real japaneese spell it: OISHII
Well on our last day it was time to taste delicus food ;)
It has open from 12 AM …. and while we arrive NO people where there. We did not want to be the first! So we waited almost another hour and entred - TO BE THE FIRST AND ONLY GUEST anyway …. on a tirsday.
The buffet looked okay, with fried rice, small spring roll and some other chinese food. Some sushi (only rice/samon) and sashimi (raw fish). Beside they had some vegetables and cattlefish + meat with could be fried on request.
Even they said its a japaneese restaurant its more a chineese. They did not speak japanese and very little english! So I belive spanish speaking locals we have better luck (I hope some locales can give another review).
The place was clean and light.
The price for the buffet was 8 euro but all drinks had to be orders exclusice.

Nice park in Barcelona. We`ve been here in february 2009. This is not the season but we enjoyed the visit anyway.
My aim was findind the multi-geocache GC1AN9D and we stopped at several waypoint.
On is this MAMUT.
Else its fun to watch/see these parrots? on the way from TRIUMPF to the PARC. We don`t have them in wild.
