Three Craws - Glasgow
501 Crow Road, Glasgow, Scotland G11 7DN

I’m not sure if this is meant to be a restaurant or pub.
The food is very reasonable but basic pub grub. Good place for a cheap meal.
There are several guest ales, and some strong lagers on tap. Alcohol is expensive, so although you might get a cheap meal, don’t go expecting to have a cheap bevvy session.
The Lismore - Glasgow
206 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow, Scotland G11 6UN

A drab and unwelcoming atmosphere.
Great choice of whiskies, perhaps one real ale, and the usual draught beers and lagers.
Prices are average.
Unfotunately attracts an overflow from a nearby sectarian pub.
The Rock - Glasgow
205 Hyndland Road, Glasgow, Scotland G12 9HE

Large pub. Well passed it’s best.
Some real ales, and plenty of choice for other beers and lagers.
Unpredictable. Never know if there’s going to be live music, or karake, or nothing. Popular quiz night on a Wednesday.
Can be very busy during 6 nations rugby. Avoid at these times if you want a quiet drink.
The Snaffle Bit - Glasgow
979 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, Scotland G3 7TQ

A bit down at heel. No frills whatsoever.
Very reasonable prices.
Zilch atmosphere.
For boozers.
Ben Nevis - Glasgow

Excellent pub, with a great atmosphere.
An unbelievable selection of whiskies, but a poor selection of beers.
Decor is unusual and welcoming.
Expensive.
Three Judges - Glasgow

A good selection of real ales, but very expensive.
The resident drunk is a nuisance.
Gents toilets are pitiful. I’m surprised Environmental Health let them away with it.
Aragon Bar - Glasgow
129 Byres Road, Glasgow, Scotland G12 8TT

Limited real ales but plenty of choice of other beers and lagers. Prices are a bit expensive.
Doesn’t sell food or snacks.
Comfortable pub.
Tennents Bar - Glasgow
191 Byres Road, Glasgow, Scotland G12 8TN

A massive bar with an massive selection of real ales. Prices are very reasonable.
There are twelve TV screens, and it’s a popular place for live football and especially 6 nations rugby. Not really comfortable at these times.
Also tends to be strange odours in the pub.
Certainly worth a visit, especially if you are a real ale drinker.
