this place is great but it is absolutely heaving, it took me about 20 mins to get served standing in the crush at the bar. I would probably brave it again as my berry espresso martini was absolutely delish (fairly priced at £7) and made with real care and attention by the bartender despite the 50 billion people jostling for his attention behind me but not on a friday night before xmas and certainly not without booking a table first.

Hmm, I'm just not sure about this place, I came here for a work do and we were in quite a big group but they managed to mix up my order and brought me the wrong steak. To give them their due they did make me another one as soon as I pointed out their mistake but it left me with a bad feeling and I would probably much rather go to Goodman around the corner as I think their steak tastes much better.

Don't eat here, the food is dreadful, I had the goats chees salad and it was awful. Pick something like chips which they can't mess up if you have to. That said they have karoke on friday nights and I came here for a collegue's leaving do and had a blast. So a solid 3 stars I reckon.

This might be my new favourite pub in london. Really good food in absolutely massive portions and 2 course for £10 at lunch. I had the steak sandwich with chips which was delish and Baileys and white chocolate cheesecake. This didn't taste of baileys at all so while it was a very nice cheescake next time I might pick the sticky toffee pud instead. Book because it's rammed and ask for a table along the side, if you sit in the middle you get jostled by all the servers. The chairs were a bit uncomfy but really that's my only quibble. Lovely friendly service too.

it's easy to be snobby about chains but most of them are successful because they do what they do pretty well. Pizza express is a good example of this. It's consistent, it's cheap and the pizzas are tasty. At this branch the service was good (unlike the upper st branch where a lone waitress was rushed off her feet). My pizza was nicely cooked with a good crispy crust and lots of toppings. Great desserts too. Solid safe choice with occasional offers. This is how it should be done fire and stone!!

there's no denying that ping pong looks great. Sleek low lit and sexy this place looks the business. Sadly the food doesn't match up to its good looks. The fried dim sum tasted as thought they had come out of a packet at sainsbury's, the steamed ones were lukewarm and went chewy very quickly due to this. Rubbery is not a desirable quality in food! A dragon eye tea seemed to sum up the meal, the flower looked fabulous as it slowly opened but the tea tasted of hot water. All style and no substance I'm afraid.
