When I first moved to Scarborough we were told this was one of the best restaurants to go to in the area, and it was first rate. Unfortunately it lost a bit when it was taken over but now its getting back to being one of the best. The menu is first class and with a good range of dishes. Try the brisket! The main seating area is a bit like a railway waiting room so try and book a side table opposite the bar. Also make sure that there are not a lot of parties going on as the service (and noise) can be a bit heavy. But all in all a good place to eat during the week but avoid weekends unless you are booking for a party!

This is a typical Accor Mecure Hotel which has been refurbished. Prices on Late Rooms is Ok and the hotel is central for the Hague just a straight walk down from the station. The refurbed rooms are very comfortable. Only problem is the restaurant. Don't eat there unless you have to as there are quite a few good places to go in The Hague. But overall quite OK.

My wife and I visited the Beamish Museum and booked in this hotel on the internet. When we arrived late Saturday night I was a little worried as there was a large wedding reception taking place. But I shouldn't have worried. We checked in and then went down for a meal. Service was good and the food great. Breakfast the following morning was first class. I'd recommend anyone to stay here, the rates were good and the only problem is that it is difficult to find if you haven't got GPS!

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I spent a couple of days in the area and visited this fabulous museum. I'd recommend anyone to plan to spend a couple of days here. Best place to visit in the North of England

I used to go to Subway's in Brighton and it was great. Unfortunately the Scarborough versions are poor. Food terrible, service worse and place smells awful. Won't go again.

I worked in stockholm for around two years and often stayed at this hotel near Alvik. The rooms were typically minimalist swedish but had kitchenettes and tv's. I used to stay in a corner room which was quite large overlooking the lake. It has washers and dryers and as with most swedish hotels you get a good continental breakfast.  Not much in the surrounding area apart from a McDonalds and bar but within easy access of the city centre.

First time in a sizzling pub, I downloaded a voucher and we got two steaks and a glass of wine each for £9.99! Well cooked, service great and a good menu. Will go again.

I have been in some poor Mcdonalds but this is the worst. It even beats the hell out of the worst McDonalds Ive ever been in and that is one in St Eriksgatan in Stockholm, yuk! I know its supposed to be cheap but the portion sizes are pathetic, service is even worse, and cleanliness? Horrid. I live in Scarborough but oh for a Burger King or KFC! No wonder they closed down in Bridlington. I wont be back.

I worked in Holland for a number of years but only stayed in this hotel once. It is pretty well located being a stones throw away from the beach, town centre and tram stop. But I was a bit disappointed with it. The food was pretty average and the room was OK but nothing special. I found it a bit souless and pricey - if you cant book anywhere else!!

My wife and I enjoy Italian food but only like one restaurant in Scarborough, Da Claudios. We therefore often come to Filey as we only live in Cayton Bay. This is an excellent restaurant. The menu is bit restricted but the food, which is cooked by the owner, is first class. I like the atmosphere as well, it has a very Italian feel about it and would thoroughly recommend it for a good night out. Average prices for an Italian.
