House of Fraser along with Selfridges, John Lewis and Debenhams is one of the leading department stores. Their store in Oxford Street is huge, and my favourite area is the basement where you can find the young trend area for women, including my favourite brand- therapy. Many products here are from high street stores and are very reasonably prices whereas the higher you travel up the store the more expensive it gets. The store is extremely large and is very spacious, so although it is very busy I have never felt cramped. Although some of the items on the high floors can be obscenely expensive it is always nice to shop up here and sometimes for get an idea of what to look out for on the high street. One of the more expensive department stores on the high street but still definitely worth a visit!

Wembley stadium is simply amazing. It is one of the most recognised landmarks in the whole of London and can even be seen from the London eye. It is a simply huge stadium playing host too many sporting and music events and soon it will relieve part of its history as the Olympics come to London. Although the trademark twin towers have been replaced with the gravity defining arch, the new stadium has not only given London a new jewel within its crown but it has also helped rejuvenate the local area. The atmosphere within the stadium is also incredible and I was lucky enough to be there on the opening day and to see Oasis. Both times I have been impressed by the sheer scale of the stadium but I was still impressed with the very small queues for food and the toilets, both of which are problems I have faced elsewhere. I would say this stadium is probably the best in the world and EVERYONE should visit at least once!

Wembley arena is the little sister to the stadium lying within its shadow, however on the countless occasions I have visited the arena for concerts I have always been really impressed! The arena has recently been done up and it set out in such a way that it is very easy to navigate. Although recently it appears to be losing its status with some acts that are transferring their gigs to the o2 arena I still personally prefer Wembley. It is a lot more intimate and there is always an amazing buzz when you consider its history. Although compared to the stadium it is generally tiny in comparison I find it to be an amazing venue. There are hundreds of toilets and many stands selling everything from t-shirts to posters. There is also a box office opening during the week allowing you to buy your tickets there, allowing you to avoid paying any extra charges. All the seats give a good view of the stage and its ease of public transport (Wembley park/central and stadium stations) make it one of my favourite venues in London!

Yo sushi is a great restaurant for those who are looking to be a bit adventurous. This was the first place where I tried sushi and I loved it! Some of the food spins round on the conveyor belt, whereas you can order hot dishes which are made freshly in front of you. My favourite dish included salmon, cucumber and rice wrapped in seaweed, and it tastes really good! Another good thing is that with the hot dishes all the food is cooked, so if your friend is not to keen on the idea of raw fish then this is perfect. There is also a little tap for water after every few seats and I loved this idea as you didn’t have to pester a waitress every few minutes for a drink. Overall I have recommended this restaurant very high and I will continue too, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! P.S keep a look out for vouchers as their is always some around!

Having been a member at first active for over a year I can whole heartedly recommend this gym. It is always clean, and the changing rooms come equipped with about 100 lockers, some of which are available to hire, so you can keep all your bits in there all the time. The main gym is big and spacious with several LDC TV’s and a high ceiling which makes the room much brighter. There is also a woman’s gym which is very well equipped and 3 rooms where classes take place. My favourite place is the swimming pool and this is a perfect place to relax after a hard work out, especially when you can hit the Jacuzzi afterwards. Although I pay £50 a month on a student contract I would defiantly recommend it to everyone!
