Hilton Manchester Deansgate Hotel - Manchester
303 Deansgate, Manchester, Greater Manchester M3 4LQ
01-10-2008
Impressive looking building from the outside with 23 floors.
Rooms are contemporary, clean and very comfortable, you can just melt into the beds.
Used the spa as a competition win and was disappointed that in essence it is just two beauty rooms with no relaxation area, but the treatments were nice and the staff pleasant.
The hotel breakfast was a let down. There is undoubtedly a large selection to choose from, however, the full english items all tasted of nothing in particular, really bland! The restaurant itself is hidden behind a curtain with a small area for coffee/drinks, which is not easy to find and didnt feel relaxing, all in all a bit cold.
The front reception staff were all pleasant and helpful even after a discrepancy at the bill.
It is a taxi ride away from The Trafford Centre for shopping, which cost £14.00 one way.
Nice hotel, expensive rates, but the rooms and view are very good.
Planet Hollywood - West End
57-60 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4EN

Planet Hollywood is a fun, funky treat. It serves a generous serving of burgers, salads, pastas, steaks etc. It is expensive when you consider you are buying a burger and chips for over £10 but, you are paying for the fun element. The place is decorated with memorabilia of films etc and there is music playing, with videos on tvs or sports. The staff are very friendly and make the whole dining experience great fun.
Its casual, fun, dining out for all the family. Kids will love the fun element, with adults having a feel good factor too.
Marsham Court Hotel - Bournemouth
Russell Cotes Road, Bournemouth BH1 3AB

I have stayed here with my family for 5 or 6 years for short breaks now, and would highly recommend it. No it is not cheap, no, it is not the most lavish hotel to stay in. But its plus points are its very comfortable, you can feel at total ease here. The staff are very welcoming, and the food in the restaurant is wonderful.
It has a wonderful outdoor pool, which trust me I only go swimming outside if its 90 degrees, is a real must. Its enclosed by hedges and is a real sun trap so whether swimming or just sitting round on loungers is very nice.
The hotels location is one of the best things, a short walk out the door takes you to a walkway down to the beach, literally 10 minutes and youre on glorious sandy beaches.
The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable, but if you can, have a seaview because just sitting looking out on the lovely view is relaxing.
All in all a nice, friendly hotel, in a great location with great food.
