Supposed to be the oldest pub in Belfast, also was a brothel (you can maybe see the bottom in one of the upstairs windows!!) near to Donegall Quay, from where the Lagan boat trips start, up-river or the Titanic tour of the harbour. Used to have a giant chess-set, the pieces being local politicians, but the glass got broken and now the pieces are up on the wall. Great food (try the stuffed chicken breast).

Arty pub, great for all the local Belfast beers, but food only served at lunchtime. Try the snug for a small group.

Good selection of magazines, papers, cards, toys, chocolate, gifts, etc

Nice selection of jewellery, some clothing and new agey bric-a-brac. Good for presents

Popular home bakery and daytime cafe: wheaten bread without sugar, can get it sliced as you wait. Mince or chicken pies chock full of meat and very tasty. In the cafe/takeaway great soups and stew. Come early to get a seat!

Small but fascinating shop selling kitchen equipment, some pricey, but great for wedding presents etc.

Cheap and cheerful Chinese and English food takeaway only. The important thing to note is that it is open after all the other takeaways are closed, Sunday nights and all (not sure of exact times). The chips are not the best in town but OK if you have a craving!
