Nice friendly pub with a good atmosphere!

What a dive! Echo the comments of the sticky floor, rude staff and inadequate toilets men queing out of the door to go to the toilet?!?! Unless I'm dragged in here on another stag do I won't ever be returning.....

Good pizzas from Domino’s and always fairly quick service either via collection or delivery….however as mentioned below always ask what offers are on otherwise it’s pretty expensive for what it is in my opinion of course….

Echo the comments below disgusting staff attitude and service….if I could zero stars or a negative I would!

Thought I’d sell my partners old phone here after looking at their website and them offering a good price instead of ebay.

Their website lists the following grading system…

Grade A – Phone in as new/mint condition with charger, original box and all accessories.

Grade B – Working phone in good condition with slight cosmetic blemishes. Charger supplied. Missing one or two accessories or original box.

Grade C – Phone in poor cosmetic condition. Charger supplied but missing accessories and packaging.

Non-working – Phone intact, not crushed or snapped in half. Non-working examples: dead, cracked, broken/bleeding LCD (screen), not powering up, speaker/mic faults, broken aerial, etc. No accessories required

Now the phone I was taking in was in mint condition as my partener is very careful and it had always been in the leather pouch, it came with all accessories & packaging etc etc.

When you take the phone in the guy gives it a quick look then gives you an initial grade & price to be confirmed by the testing people….you then leave the phone with them for testing and go back in an hour….The initial grade was an A to a B to be 65 to 80 pounds…So i left it with them.

Went back in an hour and now its a grade C and its locked to vodafone and they’ll only give me £30 for it?? So I pull out an o2 sim it works perfectly but no its definately locked to vodafone as their testing department are never wrong?? And the girl couldn’t even explain why it was now being listed as a grade C….I then declined there offer which she seemed genuinly surprised at….so all in all a bunch of rude idiots trying to rip you off….It might work on some people desperate for money to get their next fix but not on everyone.

As mentioned below staff attitude is disgusting whilst having the initial grading done and leaving some details I had to listen to two other members of staff openly slagging off the previous customer all because he had said “cheers mate”

All in all a waste of an hour and a half and to top it off the manual and cd’s were missing out of the box but it really wasnt worth going back and dealing with these idiots again.

Oh and the phone subsequently went on ebay and sold for just under £100….will stick to ebay in future!!

If your looking for an honest reliable garage to work on your car then look no further. Family owned and run they do good work at a fair price, and they only do the work that needs to be done no hidden costs here.

I do alot of the work to my cars myself but anything I havent got time to do or less hassle to just pay somebody to do I take it here….I also have all my MOT’s done here.

Have been using the Tamarind for a few years now since it was renovated and I have to say the service is always superb and the food spot on, whether your eating in or taking out. I can highly recommend the “Lamb am Chat” curry which is a mango based curry quite unusual but very nice being sweet but with a nice kick….and the lamb is always beautiful never once has it been fatty which is always a risk with lamb….

Went here about a year ago after a boring party at the celtic….Lovely place deco very nice and the service was excellent but the food I’m afraid whilst nothing was wrong with it, I found it to be a bit bland and didnt really leave much of an impression especially when faced with the bill I expected something much tastier…plenty of other better curry houses in Newport that will cost you less but give you more (Koh-i-Nor, Lahore, The Tamarind)
