I’m a native Korean living in Berlin, and Arirang is my favorite Korean restaurant. It may not be the fanciest joint, but they offer great authentic Korean food at a great price.
You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, especially if you’re into spicy food.

I suggest the following:

Bossam - Hot pork with kimchi, tofu and oysters. It’s enough for 2 people and only 9.50 EUR. I usually order one and pig out by myself.

Kkanpungi - Korean version of teriyaki wings. Costs 7.50. The best teriyaki wings in Berlin, and possibly all of Germany.

Heck I can go on and on, but the bottom line is that they can cook. Also, the kitchen is right in front of you, so they can’t get away with all the 'funny business’ that usually go on in restaurant kitchens.

After the tailors at Friedrichstr S/U bahn messed up my clothes, I took my suits here for alterations. Even before entering the building I could tell this place was in a different class. The tailor shop was located inside an Italian suit store which the same owner operated. Shop is located just a few blocks north of Ku-damm.

I dropped off one of my suit jackets to tuck in the body a bit and shorten the sleeves. When I picked it up, I was quite surprised that they redid the pick stitching near the double vent area with…real pick stitching! I was extremely happy with their work and dropped off my Canali jacket without hesitation for an alteration.

If you have to alter a piece of clothing you value, it would be folly not to take it here.

I had the misfortune to take my bespoke suits to this place. These guys are not professional tailors. When shortening the jacket sleeve, they did it in such a way that it no longer resembled a suit jacket sleeve; it looked more like a sweater sleeve. At least two bespoke jackets were destroyed this way. The only job they can possibly do without messing up is shortening the pants…just maybe.
