I’ve only been here once, it was really busy and I had to queue for ages. I wasn’t impressed when I ordered the meatball marinara there, as I only got 2 beat balls and hardly any sauce and the bread wasn’t nice and fresh tasting. It was really hard to find a table as the place was packed, and it’s not really a very big place.

Subway’s sub of the day deal is great for £1.99 you get a nice big 6” sub. They do a number of promotions too, I’ve won plenty of drinks, cookies and subs that way!

Their coffee and choice of soft drinks is pretty average. I like their choice of breads and the herby cheesy ones my favourite. Also they have a good choice of sauces, and I really like the sweet onion one.

I’ve been in here a few times, and always been served very quickly (never seen a queue). I think the assistant must have liked me, because when I ordered the meatball marinara there, she gave about twice the normal portion in my sub, it was overflowing!

There’s always places to sit, and they keep the tables clean.
It’s a decent sized place that’s glazed all the way round so you can watch people going by.

I used to pop in here to get sub in my lunch break. At that time of day it was reasonably busy, but I used to get served fairly quickly. I never looked for a seat as I went back to my office. It’s a medium sized place and they keep it clean.

Every time I go past here (go past regularly on the bus) it always looks practically empty inside.

Benjy’s is right next door to Greggs in Commercial Road.

It has a small breakfast bar style area to eat in as well as a couple of tables outside. They do sandwiches, salads, drinks and hot food.

I like their coffee, as it’s only a quid for a huge filter coffee, and it’s good coffee. Also if you pop in late in the day (I sometimes pop in on Sundays) they often reduce the prices on some of their salads and sarnies so you can pick up a tasty snack at a bargain price.

They always keep it clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful too.
