This is probably the worst experience of customer services i've ever had to encounter. Been here twice for repairs and each time have felt as though the owner didn't care. First time was for a crank repair which took a week and a half. Admittedly the repair was good and haven't got a problem with that. Second time i took my bike in it took nearly three weeks before i got a reply about my bike. The repair was done but the owner tried to make out he had been leaving messages on my phone for me to pick the bike up. This was untrue as i had no voicemails on my phone. In conclusion i can only assume that my face didn't fit and because i only use my bike for commuting to work that i wasn't classed as a "proper cyclist". In conclusion i would not touch this business with a ten foot barge pole in the future.

jedipete you will be hearing from my sollcitor regarding the small matter of slander, kind regards pete

jedipete hi darren, just seen your lovely comment on a reveiw site,i endeavor to look after all of my customers,i am a cyclist myself, and as such, think after sales and customer care are paramount, this said,if you thought your repair took a long time, then you could pick up the fone and call me,its easy, regarding your public slagging of my business you will shortly be hearing from my solicitor regarding the small matter of slander, you are one thoughtless person amongst my thousands of satisfied customers, and im glad you wont be coming here again, kind regards pete

just had a great meal here. The food was fantastic and very hot. the prices are pretty reasonable too. They do a good pint of guinness as well which is a good indicator that the rest of their beers are enjoyable. Been here a fair few times before and the standard of food keeps getting better,so they are employing chefs who know their trade. We shall certainly return.

this place is absolutely bang on. the best medical facility in the country.

scruffydog I agree with you, but honesty does not help an honest health professional. Unfortunately the nurses are at the front of poor management and low staffing levels at the QE, the hospital is too big and the nurses are still expected to deliver a high quality standard of care to meet a high volume of patients to meet targets. It is ridiculous.
There are some brilliant nurses at the QE who are honest and hardworking. I was an honest nurse who made a mistake due to being 7 nurses short and managers didn’t address the issue, even when I had reported my concerns previously over dangerous nurse to patient ratio’s along with other concerns, unfortunately the manager never acted on my concerns and the environment was just so dangerous for the public and put the nurses at risk of making a mistake on a daily basis.
As i said I made a mistake and I was honest from the start and extremely remorseful. I have been ripped apart by the trust and I have been through hell and yes I admit the mistake but being honest went against me, not for me. There are so many dishonest nurses working there making mistakes-there is no justice.
My concern had always been with the patient and luckily he was okay and I did all I could to rectify and ensure he was okay. I genuinely cared about my patients and it hurts me to be put through the hell of investigations and referrals to the NMC. I was one of the good always ensuring my patients were okay, but I will never nurse again.
The trust wanted to get me in trouble as I was honest and may be a whistle blower and to protect themselves- I am a scapegoat to their systemic failures. I will not let the trust destroy my life and I am determined a positive will come out of it as I will be working hard with the government in future to ensure nurses will be working in safe environments to protect the public and I will not stop until the public is properly protected from harm.
I empathize with your situation and if I were you I would keep persevering with it until the truth gets out. I have also been on the receiving end of poor care at another trust and could of died. Have you been to PALS and reported this? They will help investigated this and the events that occurred. Also speak to the quality care commission they will do internal inspections and can be an anonymous referral. Doctors will not own up to any mistake as they are scared of the outcome in case they are sued but it also shows they are in the wrong and looks bad on the trust. Its the blame culture its terrible and for apologising looks bad on the trust and the individual doctor or nurse, It will not stop.
There are some great doctors there too but some are arrogant and think they are better then everyone else, nurses are treated terrible by this kind of doctor.
I wish you all the luck in the world and I hope you have made a full recovery!! I will do all I can to fight for public safety and for the good nurses out there. The NHS is a nasty big business, get rid of the managers and the NHS would be a safer place as you could have more nurses etc. A nurse makes a mistake due to the poor working conditions they are forced to work in.
My thoughts are with you!! good luck and keep pursuing it.
We need to stop the blame culture and bring back honesty that way the public will be safe!!!!!

tiggerkins I am sorry you were treated this way. My husband spent 11 weeks here on his last admission, and I saw what the staff were put through. I do agree that staffing levels are wrong, and in a lot of cases too low, but also there are more than a few so called nurses who do not work, they just mark time. They do a great disservice to the majority of the profession. Also, it seems some wards are worse than others.
The culture of blame in this country is making things worse as well. I do not have a lot of money, but would not want to sue, as the money is unimportant to me. And unless there was a serious case of neglect, or malpractice, it is not a path I would wish to go down.
I am sorry they made you a scapegoat. I know it happens. I just want people to start questioning things and stand up for their rights.

never really had a problem with this place despite what people say about this place. my fiancee comes here for her pain management and everybody seems friendly enough. the old part of the hospital looks a bit shabby but the new build is light and well maintained. the place does the best it can during these testing financial times.
