Great place for learning about the Northern way of life in years gone by. They are always looking to add new things to add more interest for the public. The latest one is the demolition of the Hetton Silver brass band hall which is now being shown on http://hetton-online.com.
The plan is to carefully demolish it and re-build it at the museum over the next year or so thereby saving a little bit more of the Northern heritage.

Currently being demolished and will be rebuilt at Beamish Open Air Museum http://www.beamish.org.uk/ within the next year. Gave good service for 100 years to the Hetton-le-hole Silver band.

Bryce Lawson, one of the young employees entered the YOUNG BUTCHER OF THE YEAR competition which is to be shown on BBC at a later date.

Had a meal here last night 25/09/2010 it was superb.
Reasonable priced,the service was first class and the food was as good as I have had anywhere. good variety of meals on the menu and different to the normal take-aways which they also do. Draught beers include Tetleys smooth and Skol which I can highly recommend!. The food was so spicy yet not overpowering which was pleasant. Overall I can say that I will be using the Restaurant as often as I can. Next time i go i will take some pictures.
