Red Lion Milfield - Wooler

This is a cosy pub with friendly staff in the village of Milfield, about 4 miles north of Wooler. There is a good choice on the menu and food is freshly cooked and well above average quality.  You can often find calves liver, slow roast pork, sticky chicken for £8-£10 so good value.  They offer a pensioners lunch on Thursdays for £6.
