Khushi’s - Old Town
9 Victoria street, Edinburgh, Scotland EH1 2HE
23-11-2008
(updated on 16-02-2009)
Can be a bit pricey and the bring your own beer policy makes sure the near by offlicense makes a killing, but it does give you a different take on Edinburgh Indian food. Ordering the Chicken Tikka Masala won’t save you here - not even on the menu.
Sabor Criollo - Edinburgh
36 Deanhaugh Street, Edinburgh, Scotland EH4 1LY
29-11-2008
An unexpected Venezuelan restaurant right in the middle of Stockbridge, supplies arepas and a wide range of latin american food and beers. The black beans are perfect. Highly recommended.
Hectors - Edinburgh
47-49 Deanhaugh St, Edinburgh, Scotland EH4 1LR
29-11-2008
Hectors is a great place but can be extremely busy. Recommend the fruli rasberry beers, but they are so sweet more than one is a challenge. Be warned, they do allow dogs in.
The Globe Deli - Edinburgh
23 Henderson Row, Edinburgh, Scotland EH3 5DH
27-11-2008
This is my favourite place for breakfast. The butties here are amazing and they allow you to choose your own roll. If you time it right you can sit outside.
Anima - Edinburgh
11 Henderson Row, Edinburgh, Scotland EH3 5DH
27-11-2008
Anima can be extremely addictive. For cheaper than pizza hut you can get much more interesting pizzas and watch them made while you wait. The whole grain pastas are worth a try also.
Summits - Paisley
36 Moss Street, Paisley, Scotland PA1 1BA
27-11-2008
Friendly and knowledgeable staff make Summits a good place to buy gear from. They are located very close to Paisley Gilmour Street. Despite the small shop they do do their best to try and get the best stuff for you - calling round to find things in your size.
Starbucks Coffee - Geneva
Rue du Mont-Blanc 26, 1201 Genève
27-11-2008
This Starbucks is directly opposite Gare Cornavin, and has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. It is offers free wifi with a purchase and being the closet place to the station that does so. Quiet during most of the day and open till late.
Cardosis Restaurant - Paisley
4 Storie Street, Paisley, Scotland PA1 2AR
27-11-2008
Pleasant staff and really good food make Cardosis a great choice for a meal out. The pepper corn steak is my favourite. Can be busy so worth calling in advance.
The Garage - Glasgow
490 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, Scotland G2 3LW
27-11-2008
I’ve never quite recovered from the loss of the Shack, but the Garage is still a special place for me. Tried to stop going a few years ago, but have gone back a few times and its been some of the best nights out I have had in Glasgow. Still good when with good company. Loses a star because they don’t take card anymore.
Frankie & Benny's - South Queensferry
7 Ferrymuir Gait, South Queensferry, Scotland EH30 9QU
27-11-2008
Good american diner food but service can be slow, especially in large groups. My favourites here are the pastas, thel pizzas are a bit average. Located next to Burger King and Tesco.
