I must say Shirleyla must have had a terrible experience, either that or she's just picky!!
I have been here twice in the last six months and found my second visit even more enjoyable than the first due to the new dining furniture and plates etc. I wasn't going to write a review but felt I must due to Shirleyla! If you eat this food all the time then maybe it's not up to 'your' standard but i personally though it was lovely and so nice and refreshing to be able to go and eat caribbean food, the only other time I get is when the Chapeltown carnival is on, why is that?. The owner Barrington is very proud of what he has achieved and why shouldn't he be? He works very hard in there, it's very rare you won't find him in the place and all the waiting staff are very friendly and helpful, I especially took a shine to Jamie, what a lovely young man. Granted it is only a small place but that's just how Barrington likes it, he's not a show off and he does a lot for the local community. I'll definitely be going back and I hope you'll at least give it a try. Please go with an open mind and stop expecting it to be a Michelin star restaurant because it isn't and it has never pretended to be.
