Bina Tandoori - Reading

Our best Indian meal in Reading. Shame they don’t deliver but doesn’t stop us driving from earley to get the food. Frech, yummy and extras are a nice touch. The restaurant is great and staff really happy. Always get excited going to Bina and woul;d recommend to anyone. they even make up special dishes for you if you ask for it.

one of the friendliest places i have lived. So much to do, classes, evenings out and shopping. great job prospects due to the M4 corridor. 20 mins from london and lovely countryside drives next to the Thames. I love living here and moved here from the North a couple of years ago.

Love the chicken teriyaki and service alwasy swift. Couldn’t eat one every day of the week but you get a lot for your money and you don’t mind eating the salad as it looks so good. Good deals and so much variety, can never get bored. My family like to go when off ona long journey as itg fills you up as well as feeling healthy. All round good service and fgood.

I went here for a cut and colour before my wedding as I had just moved to the area. I would say it was one of the best haircuts I’ve had and it made my day extra special as the colour was perfect. The inside needs a bit of tlc and I feel it is very expensive for the look and feel of the place but as we’re talking about haircuts I can’t fault it. I have moved now so it’s not near me but would recommend to anyone.

cerise restaurant and bar the forbury hotel - Reading

26 The Forbury, Reading, Berkshire RG1 3EJ

This is another one of our favourite polaces to eat in Reading. It is pricey but the food is of excellent quality. It’s not the speediest but certainly the freshest so I don’t mind waiting the extra mins as normally we go for a special night out. The cocktails are the best in Reading I feel. we sometimes go just for those. I have been for birthdays, anniversary’s, celebrations and has been memorable evry time we have visited. we even went for breakfast once with our baby and the waiter even took her for a walk so that we could eat in peace!!! now that is service!

Carluccio's - Reading

Forbury Square, Reading, Berkshire RG1 3EY

I have been here a lot, mostly for lunch and it is a great setting for that but I do think it is pverpriced for the food you get. the last 2 times I have went the food has been overly salty and I am normally not one to complain. the lasagne is good and their lemonade is second to none. Also their deli is great. I just feel that the service is lacking, takes too long and you don’t get value for money.

busb I personally wouldn’t go near this place - the chain was exposed as one who pay their staff poorly

Forburys Restaurant - Reading

1 One Forbury Square, The Forbury, Reading, Berkshire RG1 3BB

Very good restaurant and excellent service. Went for my birthday and they went out of the their way to personalize my dessert. Is a bit pricey but there is a set menu which is very good. There is a range of wine and a lovely atmosphere along with the restaurant overlooking forbury square which is one of the lovliest scenes in Reading town centre.

Forbury Gardens - Reading

Fornury Road, Reading, Berkshire RG1 3EH

Lovely park for a walk at lunch or to take the kids to on a Thurs (soft play area). The Bandstand showcases bands and music. It also backs onto the Abbey ruins and a lovely walk along the river. So peaceful considering it’s in the middle of town. used to visit every day when i worked near by.

Yo! Sushi - Reading

The Oracle Shopping Centre, Reading, Berkshire RG1 2AH

I absolutley LOVE Yo Sushi. I was one of the first in there when it opened (I was pregnant at the time) and now go there regularly with my husband and little girl. The staff are fantastic, very welcoming, great with kids and the food is so easy. you can just pop in for a bite of spend longer if you wish. It’s managed very well and it is by far our fave place in Reading and my husband doesn’t even like fish!!! The fish here is excellent. Cann’t write a bad word as over the 40+ times we have been here we have never had a bad expereince!

Wagamama - Reading

The Oracle Shopping Centre, Reading, Berkshire RG1 2AG

I can’t quite understand why this place is so popular. the food is ok and I like the style but it’s not something you couldn’t make at home. It’s always so busy that there is oftena long queue out of the door at the weekend meal times. I much prefer Yo Sushi over the river! (Although their smoothies arew very good and food very fresh)
