Though my singing skills are terrible my half Japanese part can't be more than happy when hears the word k-a-r-a-o-k-e. So I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to sing along at Lucky Voice last night in one of the Qype events.

I had been there before, but only this time I could have the whole karaoke experience and was as a karaoke should be: really fun. I was really surprise with the range of songs, that goes from classic 80's to current TV shows' tunes (they have a Glee set). In our booth you could hear from Total Eclipse of Heart to Flight of the Conchords' Most Beautiful Girl in the Room, all intensely sung.

Even if you're not keen about karaoke I'm pretty sure their amazing cocktails (they all seem very sweet from the menu, but once you try they're just perfect) and shots will worth the effort to hear you're friends loosing their voices all night long.

Said that Lucky Voice is guaranteed fun.

Em uma cidade cercada de excelentes e grandiosos parques, esse pequeno pedaço de verde, localizado em um “monte” da cidade e praticamente integrado ao Regent’s Park, é um dos meus locais preferidos de Londres.

Nem pela grandiosidade, nem pela exuberância de jardins, o que faz de Primrose Hill excepcional é a vista. Do topo do parque se pode ter uma vista panorâmica da cidade enquanto se está fazendo um picnic ou só se descansando ao sol. Isso tudo é tão maravilhoso, porque como Londres é extremamente plana, dispor de um parque localizado no topo de um dos poucos morros da cidade é quase o equivalente a ter acesso a uma maravilhosa vista de um apartamento de cobertura aberta ao público.

Fica bem perto do famoso mercado de Camden Town e no caso de estar fazendo uma visita ao mercado, vale a pena espichar o passeio só pra ver Londres de cima. Mas é claro, como nada é perfeito, o tempo tem que estar ao seu favor.

As far as I can see this used to be an excellent restaurant which is going down and down in the charts, but I tried once last year and for a chinese restaurant (for me just a few of them are not suspicious) I reckon Shangai is a quite good one. First the menu is a real menu and doesn't offer up to 200 dishes that actually are almost the same. You can quickly realise what you want without that fake impression you got SO many choices that makes you feel lost. Then the food (I've tried the dim sum and the hoisin duck wrap) was well cooked and tasted good, nothing exceptional though. We're charged correctly and the service was average. I wasn't expected too much of this restaurant when I got in but for a local chinese restaurant I must say this is better than the average and I'm definitely coming back. Also because I fancy that East End pie and mash shop decor.

Os romanos carinhosamente chamam essa pizzaria de "Obitório". Isso se deve a decoração interna, que além de ter parado na década de 70, é toda branca. Das paredes às mesas de mármore (que dão ao lugar o nome original 'Ai Marmi'), passando pela camisa dos garçons tudo é branco meio hospitalar. Mas se a decor não soa nada apetitosa a comida é excelente. Aconselho a começar com 'i fritti' antipastos romanos para se comer antes da pizza. Todos são muito bons, meu preferido é o 'Fiori di Zuccha' (flor de zucchine empanada e frita) e alguns, como o filetto di baccalà (filé de bacalhau empanado e frito) são quase uma refeição, então se pode dividir com outra pessoa. Reserve espaço para a pizza, que é a especialidade da casa. Massa fina e crocante, todas as coberturas são ótimas (e sim, tradicionalmente romanas) e se pode escolher qualquer uma, de olho fechado. Se ainda sobrar apetite eles também servem sobremesas, mas acho que não é o caso. O vinho da casa (como quase em todo restaurante italiano na Itália) é uma boa pedida para acompanhar o banquete. O preço é super camarada e os garçons são old school, o que me leva a crer que eles não falam outra língua além do italiano.
O único ponto negativo, é que o lugar está sempre lotado. Chegue cedo ou se prepare para uma longa espera na fila. Mas definitivamente cada pedaço de pizza vale a espera. E não preciso dizer, que ao ir lá, nada de dieta em mente.

In un città dove prendere un caffè vuol dire soccombere alle gigante catene, questo posto è una bella opzione per fuggire di questa situazione. Ci sono due negozi, sempre al centro di Londra. Piccoli e carine, uno è soltanto da portare via, nel altro invece ci sono tavoli e si può mangiare lì. La qualità dei prodotti sono buone, e pure si il caffè non è il migliore del mondo è ancora buono per il British standard. Il cibo è sempre quello dei panini o insalate ma tutto sembra fresco e gustoso (almeno quello che ho provato io erano), e siccome le porzione sono medie/piccole si può prendere più di una cosa alla volta. Inoltre questo il prezzo è giusto e lo staff efficiente. Sicuramente tornerò quando vorrei prendere un caffè mentre facio un giro al centro di Londra.

This is my favorite bakery in Rome. I lived and worked close to this place and often I grabbed my lunch, snack or dinner there. Although the strange hours (it can be open only for 3 hours per day), they make amazing breads and pastries that are worth to know when they will be open. The Forno is regularly packed of Italians usually getting a generous slice of pizza Bianca or Rossa, that is what they make best. Those are thin, crispy pizza dough (nope, no toppings in here) cooked with perfection. Bianca is the plain one and the recipe allows only some olive oil and salt while Rossa just get a plain tomato sauce over the top. As odd as it sounds both of them are wonderful and if you're in the city you must try them (they are traditional Roman pizza types). So, if Campo de' Fiori is on your list, I advice you to go to Forno, fight for your place in the counter, place your order , queue to pay and enjoy your slice of pizza (Bianca, Rossa or both) while walking around the market and taking pics of Giordano Bruno's statue.

The flagship of the bar is obviously the caipirinha, made within Brazilian standard quality and excellent cachaça (the spirit used in caipirinha), but not only. This tiny and cosy bar, located in Camden, also offers another spirits and a really good food. They usually have some specials sets in the menu including Brazilian dishes and nibbles, which I truly recommend to try with your caipirinha. And if you like so much the drink they also teach you how to make a proper caipirinha as they offer caipirinha lessons.

Existe o local pub, a local grocery shop, local newspaper agent... Esse eu considero meu local museum. Está fora da rota turística e ao contrário da maioria dos museus, esse tem um tamanho pequeno/médio, o que não causa exaustão ao final da visita. O museu é sobre a evolução da decoração e moradia na Inglaterra (mais especificamente Londres) desde 1600 aos dias de hoje. A mostra consiste em reproduções das salas de estar de casas de famílias de classe média. Além disso, tem explicações sobre a evolução da decoração (introdução do carpete, papel de parede, mesa de jogos, etc) e a relação disso com a vida cotidiana de cada período. O museu também dispõe de um jardim que abre no verão. A entrada é gratuita, o café parece ser bom e a lojinha é bacana. É um ótimo passeio, mesmo se o dia estiver bonito, porque no final ainda sobra tempo e energia para fazer outra coisa.

Wow, is the word to describe this cinema, actually wow is the word to describe the huge screen. Yes, they are honest, it is the biggest screen ever. And it is an unique cinema experience. Just be sure you're not going there for the plot, screenplay or anything else than the visual effects. You go in a cinema like this because you want to see a visual explosion.That's why the ticket is a little bit pricey, but definitely worth it.
