Gastronomia Italia - Victoria

How have i never seen this place before, i work just round the corner!

One of those places that just smells divine when you walk in. Piles of (albeit pricey) Italian goods, The sandwiches and Olives are simple but really tasty. Ciabbata with pesto, mozzerella and tomatoes, all fresh and full of yum

A truly fantastic little cafe in a strip of Charity Shops.

Lured in by a rumbling stomach and looming clouds we were thoroughly impressed. Priding themselves on well made food, with no fuss at reasonable prices I can only agree.
Mrs Euzie ordered a falafel pocket, while i went all classily Enid Blyton and grabbed myself the Rarebit with a bottle of old school lemonade.

I was slightly dubious about the price (£4.95) as if it went wrong it was the most expensive “cheese on toast” ever served. I should not have been worried. It was proper Welsh Rarebit. Two enormous and thick slices of crusty bread with a thick layer of the most scrumptious cheesy-mustardy roux. To top it off there was a bed of watercress with a dollop of fiery Horseradish.

As we sat there devouring and complimenting the food we realised that we are very very lucky to have this place round the corner.
Apparently they do Sunday Lunch (at 7.95) which may be tried tomorrow, though i am tempted by the cream tea.

All in all i have just eaten the finest thing ever served to me on toast, which is definitely something.

Fantastic Food, great value for money and ran by the nicest fellas you could care to meet. I dont think it has been open long, but it deserves to become a stalwart in Hove.

Right by the Neptune, so after a couple of pints you can then tuck into the lovely Chicken Rogan

The Mucky Pup - Islington

Simply the best pub in London, bar none.

If you want fancy, or cool, or pumping disco beats go elsewhere.

But if your idea of a good night is a free jukebox with lots of decent rock, a good pint, and maybe a couple of Jagerbombs with Angus then it’s your place.

And its ran by “Funston and Rumbles”. Where else would two 70’s detectives have their own bar?

Went for Sunday Lunch, and it was slightly busy but not rammed. My wife had a Bruschetta which she raved about but I had the Slow Roast Pork. Which was cold, stone cold.

Granted when they heated it up it was quite tasty, but by then the mocrowaved veg had gone chewy and i had to console myself with the rather lovely Yorkshire Pud.

I would have given it a 2 but it was such a lovely sunny day
