Cavendish House - Cheltenham
32-48 Promenade, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 1HP
28-12-2008
A good old traditional department store, part of the House of fraser chain, which specialises in quality items. Everything from Homeware, to menswear, ladies wear, perfume, make-up, shoes etc.
Also benefits from a busy coffee shop. The restaurant is however a dissapointment being dated and dull
Orange Pig - Tewkesbury
122 High Street, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 5JU

The ONLY place in Tewkesbury where you can buy anything approaching decent clothes for children.
A little chaotic inside with the clothes 'piled-high’ but some great brans such as Mayoral at sensible prices.
Great Western Designer Outlet Village - Swindon
Kemble Drive, Swindon SN2 1PP

Better than Bicester for sure. As a lover of quality rather than fashion i am pleased to be able to buy from the likes of Aquascutum at reduced prices.
As others have said it is worth going just to look at the great use they have made of what was arun down rail station.
If I was to give them one tip to improve then it would be to do something about the food. High fat, High carb, High Sugar may appeal to many, but an option of a real quality restaurant or two would not go amiss (at least with me!)

Good shoes are hard to find in Cheltenham, and Charles Clinkard is the closest you will get. A small store, hence only a small selection, however a number of Church’s are available which I like!
Jones Bootmakers - Cheltenham
28-32 Promenade, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 1LY

I can only comment on Gentlemens shoes, however their Goodyear Welted range is poor compared to comparable Loakes etc, and the last shapes used tend to be uncomfortable.
Russell & Bromley - Cheltenham
100 Promenade, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 1NB

Great shoe shop especially for Kids. Children should, IMO, ONLY wear Startrite or Clarks, and then only after being professionally measured. Both of these requirements are well covered here and at a reasonable price.
The adult range of shoes is not what it was 10 - 20 years ago as they try to move more with trends rather than concentrating on what they (did?) do best. Howver, there are some well made shoes in there if you look.
Truefitt & Hill Gentlemen's - St. James's
71 St. James's Street, St. James's, London SW1A 1PH
28-12-2008
A visit to London by a Gentleman is not complete without visiting truefitt and Hill for a traditional barber shop experience.
Badger brush and curthroat combine to give you the best shaving experience ever.
Matalan - Cheltenham
27 Swindon Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 4DF

Cheap, low quality clothing that basically does what it sets out to do. Not my cup of tea.
Next Retail - Cheltenham
Unit A Ga llagher Retail Park, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL51 9RR
28-12-2008
What can you say about next? their styles are tired and boring, the quality is generally poor, and when the sales are on they appear to trot out things that nobody wants but people buy just because they are cheap.
TK Maxx - Cheltenham
Regent Arcade, Regent Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 1JZ
28-12-2008
I like TK Maxx because I can find great Savile Row ties, Cashmere sweaters and Ralph Lauren Polo Pyjamas. However due to the nature of the shop you need to keep going back to find things you really want
