Strolling through the city on a quest to find something special we came across this hidden gem. Excellent food, fully organic and at a very pleasant location, this place is well worth a small detour off the main track.

This tiny little restaurant with just about enough space for 10 guests offers outstanding quality Korean food with some organic ingredients.

I can definitely recommend the beef bibimbap, it is excellent. Since this restaurant is very small, I recommend you come in no hurry and that you reserve a table in advance.

My favourite restaurant in Berlin when it comes to Wiener Schnitzel, simply divine! In fact, so far everything I have tried was very good, but I must say with such a good Schnitzel on the menu I am simply not able to order anything else for myself. The atmosphere is pleasant and slightly more elevated, definitely very dignified for such glorious cuisine. Highly recommended!

I love the ambience of this place, along with the good food and friendly service. My personal favourite: crêpes, which are not always available, since the menu varies. A must-visit, if you're in the area.

This restaurant has seen quite a lot of renovating in the last couple of months. Now that the work is done, their doors have opened and I decided to check it out. Hungry as ever, I had to go for some pasta, which is something I have a natural weakness for. I ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce and was served some tasty bread with very good olive oil, while waiting for my meal to arrive. Once it did, I was very impressed with the quality of this simple dish. Spaghetti not overcooked, just right, with excellent tomato sauce. Conclusion: the new owners have done a great job creating a pleasant atmosphere and serving food that is tasty and affordable. Osteria Pitelli is a hidden gem, I will be back for sure.

Lovely service, but just too slow. In a group of 6 people we were served 2 at a time, my order took at least 40 mins and the others had long finished eating. I just don't have enough time for this, too bad.

gardar Think you were just unlucky feri - I've eaten there like 10 times and never had to wait yet. Of course not good that anyone had to be unlucky, but it seems to have been an exception.

feri Thanks gardar for letting me know. I do hope that if anyone ever has the same experience as me again, at least café hilde will take my advice.

Scruffy pizza restaurant with typically Berlin style unfriendly waiters. OK pizza, confusing menu, very busy. Bring patience and don't be surprised by relatively high prices, especially given the scruffiness.

It appears that this place is run by students, who are not trained properly and who cannot cope with the number of guests. When we got here it was very crowded - we had to wait 20 mins for drinks and 40 mins for a simple and un-impressive soup. After half an hour we were asked if we'd like to order, had we not stopped a waiter before this - imagine how long we would have had to wait. If you enjoy waiting for nothing special, I recommend you come here.

Surprisingly, the vis-a-vis is rarely crowded, often empty. The food quality is excellent, I love having breakfast, burgers or even steak here. Generally there is relaxed jazz playing in the background, very nice. Price-wise it's a bit more expensive than the neighbouring restaurants, but this is well justified with matching quality. Go check it out!
