Love the vibe, changing art on the walls, music eclecticism like the fab “MySpace or Yours” nights every other Tuesday. It’s a real find and proud to call it my local. Can occasionally be too cool for school perhaps due to a strong sense of localism, but you’ve always got the dog to play with.

What used to an old drunks pub has had a bit of a refurb and new owners with a bit of nounce. Popped in two Saturdays ago to find hip young things getting down to some great old skool and electro on the dancefloor, nice friendly vibe, diverse crowd. Last night was rammed, steamy windows 360 degrees, fixies on the railings and skinny jeans, smiles and sultry looks aplenty. The cool set have finally hit Hackney Central. Wondering which dirty old boozer is gonna get the Shoreditch treatment next.

Impeccably clean, an oasis of calm inside, free wifi, lovely cheap real coffee £1.20 and friendly and accomodating staff. Better than the library for studying, reading and credit crunch beating pizzas on tap too.
