Fantastic range of comics – old & new
for the cognoscenti. Come off the main
drag of Camden Town into this quieter
street & you will be delighted to see what
you can purchase -

I used to stay in a boat on the lock
& gently rock to sleep on this canal,
So I know it well. Love the shops esp
round Christmas. It has done well to
rise up out of the ashes of the serious fire nearly 4 years ago.
Great place for gifts all year round -

If you like action : you'll get it here!
masses of shops & small fast food outlets
of every kind possible. Great place for
Xmas presents ... & then find a canal boat
to take you somewhere calmer towards Regents Park & past the zoo.
A special day out, especially in the summer -

From the exterior you would never guess at the interest & beauty that lies inside this pub in the heart of Camden Town. The lady’s name was Jinny, aka the Witch Queen of Kentish Town. She entertained highway robbers in her gaff,& killed off several husbands… her cottage stood where the pub now stands.
In 1660 it was a wasteland & local people thought she was a witch cos she had a cape with bats painted on it,a huge red cap… & a cat wrapped round her shoulders. (see the pub sign pic attached)
Children would taunt her & she would scream back at them.
Great pub nowadays with a lovely central island bar & a spiral staircase leading upstairs
