A good range of fashionable and boho clothing and accessories for day and night including labels such as Lipsy. Some real gems to be had here with pretty and unique pieces and it now also stocks the new shoe range by Vivienne Westwood. Helpful staff and nice lighting in the changing rooms provide a relaxed and friendly environment.
Wandsworth Palais - Colliers Wood
52-54 Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 4LD

I was at this venue for an organized event so I can't comment on the quality of the regular club nights but as a venue it is smart and modern with a purpose built stage and great sound system.
In it's previous incarnation it was a theatre and it's status as a grade 2 listed building gives it a sense of permanence and theatricality.
The versatility of it's design as a theatre also means it is frequently used for live performances and promotion of new acts through the showcase brand: LIVE which has featured many up and coming pop acts and X factor performers.
Staff are all polite and friendly and the dancefloor is spacious with the second level balconies proving a perfect spot for people watching from above.
Yelmo Cineplex Icaria - Sant Martí
Calle Salvador Espriu 61, Ctro.Cial. El Centre de la Vila Port Olimpic, 08005 Barcelona

Icaria-Yelmo Complex (sounds like an affliction rather than a cinema) is the best of the original language (VO or Version Original) cinemas in the city showing films mainly in English with Spanish subtitles. It's 15 screens show a variety of current films not just the blockbusters and it is comfortable and modern with car parking nearby and close proximity to Metro Ciudatella Vila Olimpic. Tickets are a bargain for a London Brit at about 6 Euros a head, the only down side being that they don’t have sweet popcorn only the salty variety. Boo hiss. But, there are plenty of other teeth rotting, stomach melting goodies to choose from! Woo hoo!
With 15 different screens there is always a good choice but as with most Spanish nightlife activities they can start pretty late- after midnight.

Staffords - Soho

Previously known as Bloww, this huge space has now been taken over by Lee Stafford under the banner name of Staffords.
Zack - Fitzrovia
63-65 Mortimer Street, Marylebone, London W1W 7UB

Zack sell a range in topshop so if you like their bright, modern, outgoing clothes, then head around the corner to their own shop which stocks a much wider variety of these affordable, fun clothes. Zack is particularly good for the petite peeps as they look good on a smaller frame and are never too long. They have great clubbing outfits along with more office, daytime wear and always are on trendy and smart.
Crystal Palace National Sports Centre - Crystal Palace
Ledrington Road, Crystal Palace, London SE19 2BB

(updated on 24-06-2009)
Having undergone a recent refurbishment, this massive sports establishment is now back up and runnning (pardon the pun).
Despite still retaining it’s rather austere appearence, there is definately a huge improvement especially in the women’s changing rooms which were formerly repulsive and retch-inducing but now are spacious and clean (I sound like 60 minute makeover). With individual shower cubicles and toilets that smell like thay are cleaned more than once a year, things are definalty looking and smelling better.
Other improvements include the modernisation of the 50 metre olympic size pool with electronic timing displays so you can check your speed and new racing blocks.
As one of the only 50m olympic pools in the country, Palace attracts the best swimmers and also hosts a diving school (4 different heights) with coaching from a former olympic champion.
The atmosphere at Crystal Palace is more training oriented than leisure (the cool water temperature reflects this) but there are lanes to suit all speeds and lessons are available for adults and children in both swimming and diving with a childrens pool available for lessons.
The sports centre is also home to the famous athletics track which you can train on and various racquet sports courts for hire including outdoor tennis. There is a full aerobics programme and well equipped gym.
There’s also a programme for children including trampolining and many clubs train here.
Dulwich Park - Dulwich

An ideal park for runners owing to its circular shape and traffic free roadpaths, Dulwich Park is also a real winner for families, dog walkers and sunday strollers. It boasts a huge childrens play area with plenty of benches for the less energetic, a lake and the pavillion cafe where ice cream on a hot summers day is a local tradition.
Sports enthusiasts can hire bikes and other assorted wheeled contraptions, hire tennis courts and football pitches or hire a horse from the local stables.
The more artistic are catered for with plays throughout the summer months and a sculpture by Barbara Hepworth is displayed here. The parks history is also a feature with the historical American gardens hosting a beautiful range of flowers .
Apollo Theatre - Soho
31 Shaftesbury Avenue, London W1D 7ES

From 18th June 2009- showing a new production of Carrie’s War starring Prunella Scales and Kasey Ainsworth (ex Eastender Little Mo).
I would definately recconmend this play for an uplifting evening of innocent, charming, story-telling.
Set during the second world war it tells the tale of Carrie and her brother’s experiences of evacuation to the Welsh Valley’s. The atmosphere and period is well-created, the perfomances are all excellent and because it is an adaptation of a children’s story, it is light-hearted and amusing whilst still having a plot which is mildy spooky and involving for adults.
If you hunt around on the internet there are various publications (Timeout was) giving away free tickets but you can get good seats in the Apollo from about £10.
It was a lovely night and would be great for young teenagers and children to get them into plays. My one criticism was that it was a bit long, the first half imparticular, but this was only a minor point in what was otherwise a thoroughly charming performance.
