    Yellow House bar & kitchen

It seems that the original Yellow House has sadly become a victim of the credit crunch so this now is the only place the owners have. Not to worry as it is still excellent, the pizzas are amazing and if at the end of one of them you actually have room for one of their tempting desserts they are fantastic. And they do a really good Sunday roast too. The service is friendly and knowledgable and I would say that overall it is great value for money. I’ve never had a disappointing meal there.

I was really nervous about joining a gym as I’d never been to one before and didn’t want to stand out as a newbie. I didn’t have to worry as there’s a real sense of space here so that you don’t feel too close to the person next to you. The equipment is amazing, there’s loads of it so I’ve never had to queue for anything even when it is really busy and there’s even a decent sized swimming pool. Also, when I joined I had a really good induction which gave me a program totally suited to what I wanted to achieve.

As others have said this is pricey but the facilities make it worth it. Also, you can leave at any time as you’re not locked into a contract, you can take a three month break if you don’t fancy it for a while and they give you free guest passes.

I can’t stop praising Ocado, it really has changed how I shop and given me a few more precious hours at a weekend. I have actually found myself saving money because it totals it all up as you shop and the picture shopping trolley means that you can really think about what you really need and plan your meals for the week ahead.

If you want to make it better value for money we paid a one off yearly delivery fee of £99 and now our minimum shop only needs to be £40. So long as you spend this amount each time you are not limited to only one delivery per week.

Deliveries are very reliable and with very friendly drivers who seem happy to help you carry the stuff into your kitchen. They tell you if there’s a substitute should there be any problems with items and you don’t have to accept it there and then. If there are any problems with the quality of the produce you can email them within 24hrs of receiving your shopping and they refund you very quickly.

If you’re worried about their green credentials you hand your carrier bags back to the driver on each delivery and they will be reused and when booking delivery slots they can even tell you when a van will be in your area already.

I really wanted to be sure that this was good value for my money, baring in mind that as good as Waitrose produce is it can be expensive, so I checked a weekly shop on mysupermarket.co.uk and it came out cheaper than Tesco and Sainsburys, the only one it didn’t beat was Asda but there’s not one close by and they don’t deliver in my area.

AND we get a free copy of The Times with our shop so I don’t even have to wander round to the shops for the Saturday paper!

Now, if only it could make breakfast as well…

I like this place so much I bought the recipe book. Just can’t get enough of their yummy soups and sweet potato falafels that I have to have them at home too! Give Pret (round the corner) the heave-ho and try this place, you won’t be disappointed.

I didn’t find this to be an enjoyable experience overall. The time I went it was noisey, a bit too noisey and I couldn’t hear the waiter properly but he didn’t seem much interested either. The food seemed to be favouring heat rather than flavour and we both felt disappointed especially as it came on a good recommendation. I would have to agree with another poster here it did have a McMasala feel to it. Not somewhere I would go again as I prefer somewhere with a more intimate feel.

Down by the river this should be a great place to go to but for a start I had trouble finding the place (it’s upstairs) and then when you get there it’s a great view outside but I wasn’t impressed with the decor inside, all white leather and red fabric. I sensibly stuck to the beer where as my mates got stuck into the cocktails. One of them ordered one that came with a whole stick not a sprig of rosemary in it and tasted a bit artificial. Could be a really good offering but we decided that we’d relocate to one of the more 'normal’ pubs nearby.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s a great space. Modern and simple in style the food is yummy and just that little bit different so I don’t find the choice too similar to everywhere else. There’s a great open area upstairs too which is so nice in summer but as this is one of the best places to go to in that area expect it to be packed in the evenings.

Great views, lovely setting. I booked our table through Toptable and got a glass of champagne as part of their deal. Service was a bit slow but I would imagine this was because it was a busy Friday night. Lovely food but we skipped dessert because of the slow service but I do plan to go back there again.

Food was ok but the service was not very good. I felt altogether a bit rushed by the waiter, whether or not that had anything to do with me being casually dressed I’ve no idea but I don’t fancy trying it again which is a bit of a shame as it’s in a great location right next to the Design Museum.

You can’t fault London Graphics, a great array of art and stationery supplies. I’ve also found the staff knowledgeable and very helpful, even suggesting other items that are better value for money. I could spend ages here and spend too much money on things I don’t really need!
