Brambles Guest House - Inveraray
5 Main Street West, Inveraray, Highlands and Islands PA32 8TU

Great wee place to stay - nice rooms, great bed, spacious and decent bathroom.
Great value for money - top class breakfast served from 9.30 - couldn't eat it all but wanted everything
Only downside to the room is the noise from the main road outside, while it was bearable, light sleepers may not enjoy the room. But that said, we'll be back as we enjoyed the location and the standard of the room.
Staff are friendly and give a warm welcome.

Popped into here for a meal, but regretted it the second we arrived. Staff were just awful - appalling service and appalling attitudes.
Average food, large portions and food was freshly cooked which is about the only thing going for it - shame about the staff as this ruined the whole visit - with the choice available locally, will never need to visit here again.
cafebarge - Tarbert

Warmly welcomed, made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. What a magic wee cafe. Excellent coffee & snacks. Has a full menu of other food, but didnt get the chance to sample this time round. We visited last thing on a sunday evening, but staff were just excellent - was encouraged to read some of the papers available and just take it easy.
Priceless Computing - Glasgow

Visited these guys today for the first time in years and they have certainly improved with time.
Don't expect the most in depth technical knowledge about every aspect of computing but if you have done your homework then you'll be fine.
They have a great selection of mainstream components and niknaks and are happy to supply some of the more extreme items.
They're happy to go through options with you and certainly don't use any of the hard sells.
Haven't had any problems with anything purchased so far so not sure how they manage returns, but wouldn't expect there to be anything unreasonable.
Sadly their website doesnt show stock levels, but a quick call and you ask em to hang to your item.
Highway One - Blantyre

ok this is no Halfords, but they repaired my daughter's bike after if fell off our car at 70mph. was expecting to be ripped off but the prices charged surprised me.
they also adjusted the bike settings for her when we picked it up.
if you looking for specialist parts, this probably isnt the place to go, but for cheap and cheerful service you cant beat it.
have also picked up other bit and bobs when passing.
think the other reveiw was a little harsh, but not extriely inaccurate.
phone ahead if you in any doubt about getting what you need :)
Redstones Hotels - Uddingston

this is one of my favourite places to eat, food is excellent and the resturant really pleasent.
staff are professional and service is good.
not a massive menu but it not a huge problem, the food just tastes and looks fantastic - even plain old bacon and egg
The Parkville - Glasgow

Staff lack any finesse or polish, just feels like a local pub for local people (even though i just live down the road)
food was resonably priced, hot and freshly cooked, decent portions and a good selection on the menu.
this should be should be a 4 star reveiw but the whole experience was rather flat due to the staff.
we arrived at 11.57 for lunch, only to be told 'You're early' but seated anyway... which set the scene really.
doubt if we'll go back.
Over-Clock UK - Wakefield

Have used these guys for my watercooling needs since my first even custom pc, and they know their onions big time.
they now run the shop from their dinning room so dont go looking for a shop!
Mark, Sue and Steve are a great help no matter how insane or complicated your needs.
they have an excellent forum running on the shop site
10/10
CCL Computers - Bradford
Inmoor Road, Off Cross Lane, Tong, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD11 2PS

use these guys for all my computer stuff - excellent advice - always deliver on time - call/collect service is great (to jump the queues!)
their returns section is top class to - they'll test the products you're having issues with and event show you it on a test bench, then give you advice on configuring it etc with your own rig
10/10
Highmains Garage - Glasgow
51 James Watt Place, East Kilbride, Glasgow, Scotland G74 5HG

These guys arent you average 'parts swappers', the actually FIX cars properly - sound advice, sound charges and great repairs. I'll never goto a dealer again.
If something doesnt need fixing or replacing for another few months they'll tell you, they dont look for stuff with normal wear and then try to scare you into replacing something.
can't recommend them enough really - dont be put off by the front door - remember this is a real garage, grease, oil etc - dont expect to be shaking hands with a guy in a suit...
these guys get 10/10
