Awful!
As we had been there before my partner thought we’d take his mum & dad there for lunch as they were visiting for the day.
We waited for an hour & half for 2 sandwiches!!!
There was a new lad out the front and apparently as someone had gone home ill before we ordered the sweaty little owner had rushed in, 10-15 mins after we had ordered to take his place cooking in the kitchen.
At this point there were 2 tables waiting for food, a further 2 tables filled up and ordered after ourselves and surprise surprise got served BEFORE us!!!
In the space of the hour & half wait we got told about the ill staff member (which we thought meant, sorry, but the food will be along soon) after about an hour, but I could plainly see the owner messing about with unimportant things such as the ipod and what looked like stock taking the cheesecakes on display. There was no attempt to get any food out let alone in a hurry.
When we were waiting we asked the young lad once about where our food was and could hear him getting a shouting at from the owner followed by the owner coming out and asking who had complained! Hmmmm if he thought that was a complaint then no wonder he had a metal breakdown when we left.
We finally had one of the sandwiches brought out, without cutlery so waited, and waited, and waited, then asked for the cutlery so finally 2 out of the 4 of us had a sandwich. We only ordered 2 sandwiches to share as we wanted a quick lunch, mistake!
Then after the hour & half wait we saw the owner only just cutting some salami for the remaining sandwich, so my partner Austin went to the counter to find out if he had even started the sandwich at all.
Austin managed to ask if it was the salami for our meal, whether he had actually started making it or not and then finally said politely that we had been waiting a long time and to not bother making it if he hadn’t even started yet.
The owner snapped (why? who bloody knows) he started shouting, was very very aggressive. He was having ago at Austin telling him to go outside and tell everyone, telling Austin’s parents to shut up when they were trying to calm him down, he came out from behind the counter into Austin’s dad face and I was worried he was going to lash out.
It had to be the singular worst scene I have ever seen when out for a meal, he was shouting and telling us to get out of his shop, and for what!? asking where our meals were after and hour and a half! I mean how long does it take to make a sandwhich?!
Other cutomers had been served when they had ordered way after ourselves, and plenty of take away customers had been served and chatted too whilst we waited patiently. It was disgusting how he spoke to Austin and his parents, I was deeply shocked, it left me rattled.
As I said before when the sweaty little owner had arrived to replace the ill staff member he didn’t go straight into the kitchen to do his job, he was messing about with things that didn’t need doing at the time. There didn’t seem to be any customer service going on at all, no care.
Customer Service : minus 100
I would give them 0 out of 5 stars if possible on here!
Poor, we will never be returning and will, and after once recommending the place, we will now discourage people to go there.
If you can deal with one staff member going home ill, and having a mental breakdown, you should not be running a business.
I hope he will learn to keep what ever problems he’s having away from his customers as there were other customers there at the time and he put on a bloody good show for them too.
