W M Morrison Supermarkets - Wakefield
Dewsbury Road, Wakefield, West Yorkshire WF2 9BY

I use this store on a daily basis due to it being just round the corner from where i live. The store itself seem a little outdated but still pleasant. Even though being a smaller store than its rivals in wakefield it still has everything you need. I do like the way that they have little counter spread throughout the store for fresh fish, meat, bakery, cooked products, deli and the staff on these counters do know what they are talking about. All in all a great store
Castle Motorcycles - Castleford
3-7 Bridge Street, Castleford, West Yorkshire WF10 1JP

I visited castle Motorcycles yesterday to see if i could find a new pair of boots for my wife. As you walk up to the store there are a number of bikes outside to tempt you before you even get through the door and again on entering you are met with the whole ground floor packed with new and used bikes. I managed to tear my eyes away and head up to the clothing department upstairs. I found the clothing department mainly catered for men with very little choice of clothing for females. I know this is mainly the manufacturers that dont make alot of it but im sure they store could find a bit more variety like other stores have. Great store for men but suppose disappointing for women bikers
Car Shop - Castleford
12 Aketon Road, Castleford, West Yorkshire WF10 5DJ

I use The Car Shop for parts when my friend does the servicing. The guys in there are very good at sourcing the parts and usually have them in the shop within a hour or so of ordering. They have a small range of other accessories within the shop which is good if you want a touchup paint, screenwash or some oil while your waiting.Excellent service
The Loft Castleford - Castleford
Unit 33 Xscape, Colorado Way, Castleford, West Yorkshire WF10 4TA
23-02-2009
I recently went out for a friends birthday and we ended up in the loft. The night was a good one with great music, brilliant atmosphere and staff were friendly. All was going great until just as we left and the police came storming in on a drugs bust. We finally go out about 3/4 hour later. Not a good end to a night
Squire's Cafe - Castleford
Newthorpe Lane, Newthorpe, Sherburn-in-Elmet, Castleford, West Yorkshire LS25 5LX

Have been going to squires since i started biking 8 years ago and it is the best atmosphere you will ever come across as a biker in west yorkshire. Wednesday evenings seem to be the time to go with bikes crammed into the carpark and road side. From here you have the choice of the motorway ride or the excellent country roads, just watch out for the lovely policemen who are watching out for anyone who has a careles moment and goes over the speed limit
PC World - Wakefield
Albion Mills Retail Park, Wakefield, West Yorkshire WF2 9SA
23-02-2009
PC World in wakefield seems to be like car dealerships used to be with pushy salesmen. Working in IT for a number of years myself i know what i want and know what is utter rubbish. When looking at a simple PC for my inlaws (didnt have time to build one) i found one which was within their price range and asked the salesman if they had stock, he proceeded to tell me they had stock but i should go for the one which was £100 dearer, when checking the spec there was little difference. I politely told him that he was wrong and i wanted the original one . He then went on about software and virus protection i would need to which i pointed out again that he was wrong and just to get the basestation. He became very confrontational and basically said i didnt know what i was taking about. To which i simply replied ok you just lost a sale and walked out.Never again
Elephant & Castle - Wakefield
109 Westgate, Wakefield, West Yorkshire WF1 1EW
23-02-2009
The elephant is probably one of the most know pubs in wakefield which is probably because it seems like it has been there forever and never been changed both inside and out. Whilst it has a number of different area`s within the pub it is the main entrance that everyone gathers in. Getting to the bar on a weekend night can be a mission in itself and when you do get there it is another mission getting back to your place without spilling a drink or two. The elephant is probably one of the cheaper for drinks even though it is in the city centre. Worth going if only to try it
Low Kost Motor Factoring Side - Batley
424-428 Bradford Road, Batley, West Yorkshire WF17 5LS
23-02-2009
I`ve used Low Kost for car parts for about 9 years and they are brilliant. The staff are really knowledgable about most cars and are always willing to help. Prices are nearly always the cheapest around and if they dont have stock it is usually there the next day or the latest a few days which is great. Parking outside the shop can be tough as only a few spaces available and the rest is double yellows but i usually find somewhere close by to park and walk down.
Kawasaki Autorama - Batley
Bradford Road, Batley, West Yorkshire WF17 6JD
23-02-2009
This is the first bike shop i ever went to when i was 16 years old and looking to buy a 125. At that time i ended up not buying one but years on i occasionally use them. They have a faily large range of bikes from new to used and their clothing section is ok but some of the clothing is very old stock and never seems to be reduced that much for it to be a bargain. Staff are nice and there is no pressure. Only strange thing i have found is that they are closed on sundays which it a pain
Jordan Bikes - Leeds
Geldard Road, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS27 7JS
23-02-2009
I was taken to jordans about a year ago after my father inlaw recommended them to me, after dealing with main dealers for a number of years i was apprehensive about going to a independant dealer. Walking into the shop you are generally greeted by a member of staff who simply say Hi do you want a coffee which is fantastic after being on the bike for a while. They have a great range of facilities from servicing, sales, clothing, bike tunning and accessories. All the staff are there to make you feel welcome on each visit and it certainly won me over.
