I looked this place up in Yell then on a few other review sites and they all mentioned how good the food was. My friend and I were feeling pretty lazy so I was looking for a place that delivered. There was no mention of delivery on any of the reviews but I thought I’d give them a call…
Sure enough, they have a separate delivery number and I placed an order of Penang curry and coconut rice for delivery. Oh yeah!
Wahaca - Covent Garden

We loved this place! The food was excellent although the tacos were better than the enchiladas (a bit bland) and quesadillas. I’d definitely recommend the chicken tinga taco and pork pibil taco (one of my favourite types of pork!).
The margarita’s were really nice as well and relatively inexpensive compared to other mexican places we’ve tried in London. at £5.50, the classic is the way to go.
The chips were a must as the salsa they bring out is incredible. We loved the tomatillo verde sauce they had and wish we could’ve had more for our main courses.
The pudding was DELICIOUS! We ordered the churros with chocolated which lead to finger licking by the end of it all as the chocolate was incredibly rich and tasty. mmmmm, definitely going back to Wahaca!
by the way, Sunday afternoon at 3:30 was a brilliant time to go, the place was practically empty.
Fassbender & Rausch Chocolatiers am Gendarmenmarkt - Mitte

One of my favourite chocolate shops that I’ve every been to! My god, what rich and incredible chocolate they have. What an assortment too! They have a counter full of truffles and chocolate covered bits stretched all along the back of the store. Massive chocolate bars, chocolate carvings and models including the titanic and a chocolate volcano oozing liquid chocolate out of the top. This was a great shop and the chocolate was outstanding!

REALLY nice chocolate’s. Loads of assortment, truffles and different kinds of chocolate. I really love this place.
Try the dark choco covered mango!
Fujiyama Noodle Bar - Brixton

A quick and easy place to get some asian food in Brixton. The food is literally pre-made so it comes out in about 2 mins flat which is a little worrying sometimes as it can’t be good to have it sit around for all the time.
Anyways, the highlight is absolutely their chicken wings called KARA AGE. Definitely order those, that’s what I go back for!!
The Brixton Academy - Brixton

Awesome venue, the floor is slanted since it’s an old theater which gives everyone a much better view of the stage. Amazing sound as well, really good place to see a concert.
My only complaint was that it was SO BLOODY HOT!! People were fainting and walking out towards the end of the set.

Great theater and the cafe is lovely as well!
The only problem with the cafe is that it claims to have free wifi but they shut it off at 7pm when a band started playing. Not sure if this is regular or not but definitely a word of warning if you’re looking to be connected there.
Taqueria - Notting Hill
139-143 Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill, London W11 2RS

We really enjoyed Taqueria, AMAZING margarita’s with our favourites being the classic and the naranja with chilli powder around the rim. The carne asada tacos were the best of the evening, although they were small for £5, and the carnitas were at the bottom of the list as they really didn’t have much flavour.
This place is a bit pricey but well worth the food and DEFINITELY for the margarita’s, excelente! I’ll be going back here.
Trinishack Roti - Herne Hill

This family run business down the street from Herne Hill station is a treat! I went in there for a late lunch and for £5.60 got a massive chicken and curry roti and a lovely mango juice that filled me up for both lunch and dinner. The roti was delicious, flavourful and just all around good. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat that needs to fill you up! Ask for the roti with hot sauce too, it was very nice.
