I visited a couple of months ago after purchasing a groupon. I arrived promptly with the groupon details but not voucher as had no Internet access an a newborn baby. I was told I would need the voucher printed so has to run to the other end of Enfield town to print it off at the local library. I understand there need but I had all the relevant details, it felt unnecessary and almost felt I was mistrusted. Nevertheless, if they was the rules I understood. I paid for highlights but the 'senior' stylist I was paying for advised me that a tint would give a light effect but would be less damaging. I went along with it under her expertise.. Another stylise resumed the style etc it was then I realised there was no change to my hair even though my hair is a very light brown; mousey. I left the salon unsatisfied but didn't feel comfortable at all to state my dissatisfaction. There was no hospitality, no warmth and no conversation. I went home and looked at my new 'do in the mirror and noticed that the tint had mistakes like lil blobs.. Right at the front of the hair. I showed my bf an his mum and they agreed and was quite shocked and agreed I should go bk to the salon. I went bk next day and Becky was accommodating but I could tell she was put out. I said I wasn't happy about the little change and the mistakes and she highlighted a section at the top. This time there was a difference, I was happy with that but thought I could still see the mistakes at the front were there. I went home and again looked in the mirror, the mistakes WERE still there. I felt really disheartened and frustrated. My hair felt ruined and it was the first time I'd coloured my virgin hair! I felt like If I went back there a 3rd time they would be unimpressed and think i was a difficult client. Even when I went there a 2nd time I could feel and sense all eyes on me and knew I musta been topic of conversation. I went bk again the next day and explained and Becky looked at my hair an said bcoz the first time it got messed up it couldnt be entirely rectified and did best she could and that my hair was now too processed to do any more with it. I then saw a senior colour technician who explained the same thing but that I could come bk in 2 wks to redo that section. I appreciated the offer but I did not go bk. For various reasons: I was worried about putting any more colour on my hair. I felt very uncomfortable, and although they said they would rectify it I could tell they didn want to. I should have rightly gone back as none of this way my fault but I left it as a lesson to be learned.
Overall, The owner was very pleasant and the music lively. But the salon lacked a certain ambience and atmosphere, it didnt help that I felt the hairdressers didn seem to have any conversation. Maybe the wage is low in there as they didn't seem very happy, the only one who did was the owner. I also wasn't offered any refreshments, except my a random member of staff one 3rd trip there.
Needless to say I won't be going back. I don't wish the group any bad luck and negative consequences but I did have a bad experience and felt the need to share it.
