We come here alot, mainly because of the huge garden, so we can chill out without being disturbed, i do agree with the service but it’s a big place, that gets busy all the staff who work there are really friendly and i think its a staffing problem and not their overall fault, bottles of wine are quite expensive for this kind of establishment, and food is what you expect from a beefeater chain resturant, good location right on the A259 so access is good, its clean and tidy, and overall we like it, and we do recomend it for groups, Thomas the manager is great, really friendly, and always comes and says hello when he’s free, we love it, and so do our friends.

Fantastic room, huge comfy bed, also lovely single bed for my son,

The staff are great, very friendly and helpful even down to the smallest things,

The breakfast next door in the Shire horse, is worth every penny, eat as much as you like, with everything you can think of included.

Def stay here again

Update:

following contact from moshi moshi on the Qype site, after my previous comment, I returned for meal with friends recently, I was hoping that I had been wrong previously, but although there was an air of improvement, the poor service and rudeness of staff again was still there,
Maybe it's a training issue, I don't know,
So better, but still room for improvement.

Great pub!! I class this as my local when back in town, always used to drink here, staff are friendly, real ales are good, and service is always brilliant,

It's just had a lick of paint and a tidy up and looks great,

Will never get tired of visiting this establishment! Brilliant

5th Feb - Great real ales, and good food

23rd March - went to the barms on Monday night with a group of friends, bar staff where fantastic, great grub, a wicked night. Cheers guys.

Nice Pub, In good weather you can sit on the chunky benches outside and watch the world go by with a cold beer.
