Having lived locally for thirty years, I’m ashamed to say I have only just paid my first visit, although paid is the wrong word for it was ABSOLUTELY FREE! And one of the best free visits I’ve ever made, anywhere.
Set in a spacious Georgian House in its own secluded garden (you could be in a garden of rest, its that peaceful) you are away from the bustle of a busy little market town.
I spent an hour and to be perfectly honest I could have remained there a lot longer, there was so much to see. I had other business to attend to, but will certainly be going back in the near future. I’m only sorry for missed opportunities. I know my own kids and grand daughter would have loved it when they were younger. I must have driven passed it along the road to Derby, twice a day for over ten years and never knew it existed. Am I blind, deaf, daft or what? Or is it just that nowadays we are so wrapped up in our own little lives that we just don’t see the great wonders on our own doorsteps. Incidentally I received a very warm welcome form the friendly lady at reception in spite of admitting my ignorance.

Pneuma Springs Publishing - Dartford

I searched the internet for a genuine cost-sharing publisher and had no success. At my age I couldn't wait 3,5 or 7 years or more in the hope that one fine day along would come a traditional publisher with the good news that they were willing to take a chance on marketing my creative writing. On the other hand I couldn't afford the cost of going it alone as in the case of vanity printing. Having spent a lifetime in commercial printing I knew the high cost of getting ink onto paper and that I ought to be prepared to put a little money where my mouth is so to speak. I had almost given up on finding a UK publisher when I read about an author who had been interviewed by the BBC and the company who had published her book had been Pneuma Springs of Kent.
I quickly Googled for Pneuma Springs website and offered my first novel for consideration. From then on it was all so incredibly easy. I had cross-checked that this Kent Company had a straight forward contract and this turned out to be correct.
Now they have published my second book, an anthology of short stories and I am delighted with the result. Pneuma Springs publish on time. They are extremely diligent with proofing and the published work is available from the major on-line stores, such as Amazon, Waterstones and WH Smith from day one. I made a small contribution up front to show my commitment and have had no cause to regret it. As far as I am aware Pneuma Springs has cornered a niche in the market place. They even have their own on-line book shop and a very fair method of Royalty Payment. What more can I say except that I hope to use their services for my future manuscripts and am more than happy to recommend them to my literary friends.
