Antica Trattoria della GIGINA - Bologna
Via Stendhal 1, 40128 Bologna
24-06-2011
Typische und gute Trattoria. Eine der besten in Bologna.
Relativ lockere Atmosphäre. Nicht so Elegant aber gemütlich.
Preise um circa EUR 35.
Besonder zu empfehlen: Tagliatelle im Parmaschinken-Soße, Gegrillter Rindersteak, Panna Cotta (als Nachtisch).
Pizzeria "Ai Marmi" - Trastevere
Viale Trastevere 53-59, 00153 Roma
24-06-2011

Felix Austria - Kreuzberg
Bergmannstr. 26, 10961 Berlin
17-04-2011
Good Austrian Restaurant in Berlin Kreuzberg - Bergmannstrasse. Minimal-cheap look, with high quality food.
In other words food tastes good, is well cooked, and portions are reasonably big.
Ingredients taste natural, fresh and and on-site processed. Plain and simple, but tasty!
The menu offers a pretty wide choice: from soups, to appetizers, seasonal courses, main courses and desserts. Not to mention cheese and sausages, the ones you expect from an austrian restaurant.
Breakfast menu, sandwiches, coffee specialties are also interesting.
Just the coffee (beans) do not match the overall good experience yyou can get there.
Average prices for a full course EUR 25/30.
yamyam berlin - Mitte
Alte Schönhauser Str. 6, 10119 Berlin
31-05-2010
Good "minimal" korean restaurant, in the stylish Berlin Mitte area.
"Informal" and young atmosphere. Vegetarian (even though with egg in some cases!) and non-vegetarian dishes.
My favourite: spinach salad, sea weed salad, steamed dumplings, vegetables pancake.
Highlights: a lunch or a dinner without deep fried stuff. Huge design and fashion magazine library. Kind staff.
Lowlights: not quite inexpensive.
Ixthys - Schöneberg
Pallasstr. 21, 10781 Berlin

Good, simple "imbiss/restaurant" with korean delicaicies.
11 to 22, Mo to Fr.
Korean soups and rice courses are usually hot and spiced. Nevertheless it is possible to ask for mild or non-hot variations.
highs: simple, with taste. Home cooking style.
lows: few tables available
My favourite: vegetable+rice+fried egg main course (comes with a little soup and little side dish). Tea pot, green tea with rice flavour.
Oliva - International Kitchen - Mitte

Good italian "imbiss" with pizza and ready pasta selections.
A good alternative to expensive restaurants, or even if a quick lunch break is needed.
I liked the cannelloni (pasta tubes filled with cheese) and lasagne. Did not try their pizza yet. Price are not high, especially considering the taste and the other offers around in that area.
highs: quick pasta solution with taste
lows: stools and benches only
My favourite: cannelloni

Nice small american restaurant next to Savignyplatz.
My favourite pancakes in Berlin.
Brunch specials and "all you can eat" offers on weekends.
highs: best pancakes, served all day
lows: pretty small, better call and do a reservation first
Mr. Minsch - Kreuzberg

Gute kleine Kuchen Konditorei in Kreuzberg. Man kann ein Stück Torte "To Go" oder am tisch haben.
Leckere Kaffee.
highs: Geschmack, Torten.
lows: keine Plätze darin, nur Tische daraus
Mein Lieblingstorte: Cinnamon Roll (nur am Sonntag)
Note: new site "Haus 1" offers now an indoor area. Located at Waterlooufer /U Bahn Hallesches Tor.
Fisch Frank im Wertheim Berlin Steglitz - Steglitz
Schloßstr. 11-15, 12163 Berlin

**currently closed. Relocating**
My favourite (fresh!) fish restaurant in Berlin.
Pretty small, with attention to food quality and details. A quality restaurant with an Underground-Charme.
Open-Kitchen style. You can follow all the action live. Check the raw fish, see it worked, cooked and gently served from the Chef himself. Or sit at the table and just wait for your selection drinking Prosecco or Champagne.
Both traditional and international receipes are present in the menu. Its particularly flexible and careful Team is kind and open to customers’ requests. Good german and international wine selection, including Champagne, served in glass or bottle on request.
A particular mention goes to the vegetable selection, available both steamed or from the pan. Also those, all fresh of course, are processed right there.
Absolutely worth a visit and the money spent.
Highs: all the action, taste and price
Lows: located in the underground level
My favourites: Gebratene Scholle plus Bratkartoffeln and side Salad (about 12 Euro), Lachs (cooked in foil) and steamed vegetables (normal portion about 13/small portion about 8 Euro), Klare Fischsuppe and baguette bread (about 4 Euro)
