Waren zum Neujahrsfrühstück hier. Einfach eine nette Gelegenheit bei sehr schöner Aussicht zu frühstücken. Das Buffetangebot ist reichlich und die Qualität sehr ansprechend. Perfekt wäre es, wenn statt Filterkaffee frisch gebrühter Kaffee angeboten werden würde, aber das tut dem schönen Erlebnis keinen Abbruch. Das Innere ist offen und hell gestaltet.

Five star +. This place is crowded, noisy, just great! The quality of the food is superb. Oysters are delicious, my panfried Scottish salmon fillet in asparagus + gruyere sauce was perfect. Eva had the fish main which was a grilled sea bass, on feta which was delicious too. The fish was on the point. The service is very friendly and fast. Definitely a place to come back! And don’t forget to book in advance!
Now the banofee is coming. Yum. The double Bowmore will wash it away…

The best sandwich in my life I got here at the larder. Yummy food, splendid teas, a warm and cosy atmosphere and – if you aren’t a tourist who has to worry about his flight luggage – a great opportunity to get high quality organic and local products.
I can’t wait for the next time to stop by.

Five star fish and chips!
If you want really good fish and chips, go to Chippy. It’s a bit hard to find because google locates it a the Royal Exchange square. You have to enter a small alley to the left if you go down Queen Street heading to the central station. Shortly after Royal Exchange Square.
This is Haute Cuisine Fish and Chips. The fish was fresh in a crisp dough coating. You have several choices of fish and it’s a nice and cosy atmosphere inside.

Visiting Gamba was a pleasure. They serve high quality seafood in a very nice atmosphere. We had no problem to get a table for two on a friday evening without booking but if you want to be on the safe side, you better book a table.
The dishes were quite delicious and the waitress was very friendly. As a starter I had the Tartare of line caught seabass, goat’s cheese, sesame, chives, tomato which was the best tartare I every had. The fusion of the goat’s cheese, the bass and the other ingredients was absolutely delicious. My main dish was a classic: Lemon sole simply grilled. What can you say. Yum. Served with excellent fries.
My wife had the Yellowfin tuna Sashimi. Really great stuff – though not politically correct, we know… and the Roast Icelandic cod, prawn & banana curry, chickpeas. Forget the peas, you don’t want ’em if you have this terrific curry.
The food is well worth the price. The wine was very good too. It was a great evening.

Besser geht es einfach nicht. Ich esse jeden Tag bei Donato. Alles ist frisch zubereitet, die Qualität ist super und man fühlt sich in der doch typisch herzlichen süditalienischen Atmosphäre sofort sehr wohl. Ich fühle mich hier bereits wie zu Hause. Im ganzen Umkreis gibt es nichts attraktiveres, um sehr gut und auch günstig essen zu gehen. Donato, ti amo!
