Great garage for MOTs and basic servicing. Really friendly staff and seem pretty honest and straight, which is a huge deal with garages!
Only thing that let's them down is their turnaround time. No slower than most other garages, but when you have an MOT booked in for 11.30, you really should have had it tested before 2. That said it is much quicker than their biggest competitor.
Well worth a try, their prices are really good, and if you want to wait nearby there are loads of cafes to sit in or you could chill in the meadows.

The hotel and restaurant are a bit bizarre. Because it's a 5* hotel the security is nuts, but once inside it really is just a big version of every other half decent guesthouse in Kabul. The room I stated in was huge with 2 double beds and an enormous en-suite but the quality of the room, furnishings, and food was mediocre at best.
Stay here if you're in Kabul for the day, stay somewhere else with more character if you're there longer!

Ikea's Ikea the world over and in it's home country Sweden its no different. Decent furniture at fair prices.

Yum! Nando's is brilliant, and if you haven't tried it stop reading this and go eat some chicken! A half chicken with medium sauce is a good place to start, and the froyo and drinks are bottomless so you'll not get thirsty.
You're encouraged to eat with your hands (it tastes better), so do it.
Oh, and before you leave don't forget to stamp your parking ticket at the till so you get free parking.

I used to like KFC before moving to Edinburgh. I've been to this one twice and have been disappointed both times. The staff are friendly, but the restaurant feels dirty and the food isn't great. Such a shame :-(

It's B&Q, what else do I need to say! Thy've got everything, and it's usually pretty well priced. Look out for their own label stuff, it's usually just as good as the big brands and is usually about half the price! Really fair returns policy too.

This place is a hidden treasure that once you find you'll just keep going back! The cakes are amazing and the prices are brilliant for what you get.
We've ordered both a birthday cake and Christmas cake from here this year and both were ready next day and could feed twice the number of people it was for. All our friends and family were amazed by the quality and flavours.

Great train station. it's got enough shops and is really easy to get to and get around.
