Having recently moved in around the corner, we took great delight in realising that The Shakespeare have now re-opened with a definite focus on good, quality real ales.

Prices are cheap with a pint of local Abbeydale, Deception, coming in at only £2.10 so a round of 3 drinks coming in at less than £7 – count me in on becoming a regular!

THe pub is very traditional and all the better for, an almost maze of rooms with (at the moment at least) a massive christmas tree at the centre.

So yeah, definitely recommend this pub.

Cammino davanti l'Harley tutti i giorni e l'insegna 'Musica e Gin' mi fa sempre sorridere! L'Harley mi piace molto, hanno un sacco di offerte per i drink doppi e le birre - mi accontento facilmente. Hanno molte serate diverse, sono stato ad alcune...un buon posto se vuoi star fuori fino a tardi senza andare in discoteca.

Je passe devant le Harley tous les jours et le signe qui dit "Music et gin" me fait toujours sourire! J'aime beaucoup le Harley, ils font beaucoup d'offres double sur la biere - mais je n'en demande pas beaucoup. Ils font plein de soirees differentes, et j'ai ete a plusieurs d'entre elle... Un bon endroit si vous voulez sortir jusque tard, sans aller en boite.

Paso todos los días junto al Harley y el cartel que dice Music and Gin siempre me hace sonreír. Me gusta un montón este sitio, tienen ofertas de dobles y cervezas - yo no soy de pedir mucho. Tienen muchos tipos diferentes de noches, yo estado algunas veces. Un buen sitio si quieres quedarte hasta tarde pero sin ir a una discoteca.

Mmmm. Tends to be full of scally kids at the weekend and plays scouse house - if’s that’s your thing, fair enough but it’s not mine, hence only 2 stars. But saying that there’s not many late bars in Bootle, so if you’re young, probably the best place to go!

This place is always good for a laugh if nothing else on a Friday and Saturday night!
At 28, I appear to be one of the youngest people in there. The music is a mix of old and new stuff, cheesy but good!
I have never been for food but have heard reports that it’s really nice and really good value.

Good venue offering live music and club nights. Standard prices aren’t that good but they do have offers on which more than make up for it. Worth giving Razor Stiletto and Threads a go.

Only been here a couple of times, usually at 4am, after Razor Stiletto, but nice intimate bar. Just dark enough! I found it a bit pricey but maybe I’m just stingy. Food menu looks good but haven’t yet tried it

Again, another one my favourite venues for seeing small, unsigned bands. The room upstairs is tiny and often packed to the rafters. Bar prices are always reasonable and staff always friendly. Most bands to come out of Sheffield have played here at some time or another.

Is a legendary music venue in Sheffield, with lots of seating available. From looking at the recent listings, it seems to play host to a whole range of tribute bands! I have mainly been to see small, local bands. It has always been easy to get served, staff always friendly.
