Loco Mojito - Shoreditch

192 Brick Lane, Shoreditch, London E1 6SB

As the below reviewer says, it might not be authentic but once I'd got Girls Aloud turned down so I could here my friends and the food had arrived the expierience improved. I actually just had a diet coke but my friend had one of their non-alchoholic coctails which was apparently delicous. All four of us ordered the Chicken Fajitas which I guess isn't the most interesting and certainly most spicy thing on the menu but it was very nice! You might need to ask for some more tortillas though as they ran out quick. Overall a pretty nice, alternative-to-curry place to eat on Brick Lane.

Caravan Restaurant Bar & Roastery - Clerkenwell

I reguallally eat brunch in London and 'Caravan' has, so far, given me the best fry-up in London. If I can call it a fry-up that is as that seems to make it sound tacky - which it certainly isn't.

Everything is brilliant about it, from the way that consistently come and re-fill your glass of water to the exceptional food.

I had a fry-up with scrambled eggs which were certainly the best scrambled eggs I've had so far, the rest of the plate was also amazing which makes it the best fry-up I've had in London, the coffee tasted 'fresh' and lovely (it is roasted downstairs which you can check out if you pop to the loo), the service was polite, helpful and 'smiley' and the décor is modern and airy with little add-ons like the lights and the bar thus making 'Caravan' the best brunch and my favourite cafe in London.

It is easy to get to with a short walk up from Farringdon and along from Angel. For those, like me, who weren't up for walking at that early hour (laaaazy) get the 38 bus from Angel which stops right outside.

I recommend the full breakfast and the filter coffee and flat whites are great.

I will be back soon to sample the other delights on the menu.

American Apparel - Camden

197 Camden High Street, Camden, London NW1 7BT

This store is a brilliant size and stocks the whole AA range. I ended up here after not finding the t-shirt I wanted in the Shoreditch store.
Big store and easy to find (opposite Camden Town tube).
I'd reccommend this store more to people looking for a particular or unusual item but if you just want the basics I personally prefer the Shoreditch one.

This store is definitely my favourite in London. Although it's probably the smallest it's the quietest and I think it's a great shopping expierience going here. As it's small it doesn't carry the whole AA range so if your going for a particular item then you'd be better going to say the Camden one BUT if you want a browse of some well stocked basics and a quiet time come here!

Mess Cafe - Hackney

Delicous breakfast!
Arrived about 10am on a Saturday and it was suprisingly quiet! Ordered my Mess Breakfast and white coffee at £4.70. The cafe is light, clean and has a good range of seating.
The coffee arrived well was nothing to scream about. It was basically the bland usual caf coffee but saying that, it was the one that was free with the brekkie - I'm sure their other coffees are pretty good.
The food. One word. AMAZING.
Egg: perfectly cooked, Bacon: crispy but not too OTT, crunchy potatoes, nicely seasoned 'shrooms and a good tomato. Oh and a suprisingly good sausage. One of the best brekkies in London and just under a fiver it's affordable.
Travel: SO easy to get to - Overground to Hackney Central and a 2 minute walk.
I'll post some photos tomorrow.

climpson and sons - Shoreditch

I liked climpson and sons.
The coffee was nice although slightly over priced. The service is slow, but I'm not complaining - honest, it's just if you want to pop in as you're dashing into work then there is a wait.
It gets very busy especially on Saturdays but even if there's a que each coffee is still a very high standard and they keep high quality throughout.
o/a: highly recommend the Gibraltar but its generally slightly pricey
I found it quite hard to get to; either walk down from London Fields Rail or get any bus that goes up Cambridge Heath Road.

The London Bridge Experience - London Bridge

2/4 Tooley Street, Tooley Street, London SE1 2SY

i'm sorry to say this but i thought it was rubbish.
even my 9 year old brother thought it was bad!
you start of by walking into different rooms where a actor does "something" in it then you walk around.
by the time you've walked through all the rooms you have to line up and you walk through "the scary bit".
now I ADMIT that it was slightly scary but it wasn't as good as i thought.
i've been to this and the London Dungeons and the Dungeons are 100 times better. yes you have to que for the dungeons but its MUCH better and scarier than this.
it is a waste of money, and this isn't a review coming from a "spoilsport", my brother (9) agrees too!

Emily_ I took my kiddiwinkles there and they absolutely loved it - it was such fun and so so scary! You should take him again - maybe he was trying to impress his big bro but acting not-scared....

itsjoe no he's not like that.
i PROMISE YOU if you're thinking of going somewhere go to the Dungeons.

Melucci's Italian Deli - London

55 Bexley High Street, London DA5 1AB

21-10-2009

Melucci's is a really nice deli, on Bexley Village High Street.
its a nice size with a good italian section where you can buy coffee beans etc.
they do great food and coffee and have a great selection to take away and eat in.
a short bus ride from bexleyheath and sidcup, half an hour from greenwich and bromley.

Candy Cakes - Covent Garden

Unit 30 Covent Garden Piazza, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8RA

19-10-2009

i'm sorry but my cake was disgusting.
the actual cake was dry and the icing was nice but nothing to shout about.
the actual cake is discusting and they just shove icing on top to make it taste better.
for real quality on both the cake, the icing and the presentation go to Bea's of Bloomsbury.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. - London Bridge

London Bdge Station Railway Approach, London SE1 9SP

19-10-2009

this is a small doughnut cart kind of, thats at London Bridge Station, Tooley Street Approach, very near to the dungeons so great to grab a krispy kreme before standing in the que.
also in the area are other "carts" starbucks, millies cookies and a couple more.
i don't really need to talk about how AMAZING the doughnuts are other than i always seem to go home with a box of twelve. oops.
oh and the also do preety good coffee. [:
