Have fun and find the journalist in you, that is my definition of qype. Thank you for making an easy to access community where our opinions can be shared.
(Having said that, I need to also point out the bad side. That is that the much promised goodies are very slow to arrive. I would have given all five stars if at least the frisbee or t-shirt or mug had arrived.
I hope to correct my review when something arrives, until then I will have to restrain myself and hold back on all the great reviews I have in my head and hopefully I will not forget all the details or erase the pictures on my phone.)
I stand corrected, one day later and I have the coolest little ninja in the universe. Thank you qype and I can’t wait for the next level in qyping, master ninja, big kahuna or whatever you can think of.

Top marks for this openminded pub/bar. The only gay establishment in Bedford and the favourite hanging out place for the local hockey club. Visited it once since all other places had closed. Gays seem to keep to themselves and don’t mind the drunk crowd that barges in after 1am. The place is popular since most other pubs close earlier.
Toilets are quite small, the staff are friendly and the music follow the same theme. Don’t miss this place if you are out partying in cosmopolitan Bedford.

To start this review I must point out I am from Mexico and love my food, I will also say that this is a very good try at making mexican food compared to other stuff out there.
Boasting about being market food and reworking the name of one of Mexico’s best states for food (Oaxaca) is a very good idea, the best food in Mexico is found in mercados. However thats as close as it gets to the real thing, most eateries in Mexico will have at least two fresh salsas on the table along with something to dip in it as soon as you arrive. The option is available here, but you have to pay for it. The other essentials are some slices of lime.
The staff are very friendly and sport some nice themed t-shirts.
Now to the food, the tacos are in the correct tortillas, however they seemed like the long life version sold in mexican supermarkets and not the traditional fresh ones you expect in a market. The cochinita (pork pibil) tasted very much like it came out a tin. The chicken tinga was basically strips of chicken in a watery tomato sauce, when tinga should be “desmenusada” or shreded meat.
The beans looked ok, however they had a strong hint of aniseed, something I have never tasted in mexican beans. The salsas were flavourless, I was specially disappointed by the green salsa that seemed to be missing any tomatillos (green tomatoes). The habanero sauce was also a let down, it tasted sweet.
On to the agua fresca that could have done with a little more variety, the hibiscus is called Jamaica over there and is not the only flavour of agua fresca you find (expect horchata, tamarindo, cebada or many other options in a real Mexican eatery).
I could go on and on with what was wrong with the food, like no Oaxaca cheese in the quesadillas or the chorizo and potato with no chorizo, however that would be against the point of my review. We are in London and the effort done in this establishment is remarkable, they could have easily taken the easy route and dished out texmex crap that is sold in this country like Mexican food. Wahaca instead tries to give you an idea of what Mexican food is and hopefully will make you save up some money and visit Mexico on you next holiday. If you are going that far and feel adventurous, try and leave your hotel or resort and head for the market.

Good deals if you need two or more items, like jeans and a sweater. The clothing is urbanistic and good quality. I think they get shoplifted quite often since I picked up a pair of gloves to try on and they were full of broken security tags. Usually well organized and stocked.

A medium sized HMV with a reasonable layout. The prices are good and the return policy is good if you were not happy with a purchase. The singles rack is hidden in the back and is very limited. New releases are rarely sold out and they have a good games section.
